that song is a real challenge (bcause of falsettos and quick continous changes) to play live just without any vocal effects and extra gain in the sound, and with absence or no support by a little chorus back up just leading the singer all the melody alone the entire track!...

Freddie Mercury and Steve Perry qualify.. They were even better live at some events. Even the modern singers like Ed Sheeran or Adele I'd sound exactly the same if not pretty darn close to their studio voice. However, Train sound nothing like how they are in their studio songs during live shows. The lead singer just straight up can't sing. At least not at the pitch he's trying to sing.

Honestly guys, if he was auditioning for america's got talent all 3 of those X's would have been lit up in the first 15 seconds. I can't stress enough how terrible his voice is on live. How much autotune does this guy actually use in his recordings?

Ed Pita Omg listen to any other performance. This performance is just strained due to all of the touring. He is absolute amazing, listen to him sing this same song in the mall with no autotune OR microphone, and that will answer your rhetorical question.
