Great video of in your face railfanning. On my many trips down the Canyon I have stopped at the S curves to watch the action. Never disappointed. Wheel squeal there is awesome. The 70ACU should be leading not trailing. I have talked to a few CP hoggers about them and not one of them have said anything negative. Quiet with a good ride and lots of power and quick to load up. Smart move by CP to rebuild them to70ACU's from SD90MAC's.

Would be nice seeing them up front! Seems like there trailing or in DPU position more then anything! I remember last year they froze them from running in the mountains as it was giving them problems.

Hi Tyson. Another great spot. I stopped and watched an east bound train come around that corner and head through Yale. No trains on Vancouver Island to watch. It was a pretty summer day in there in the shade. Lots of poles come from here though. Possibly even some of those. The E&N railway used to take them away until the new highway put the nail in their commercial traffic. I wonder about those tankers. Are they hauling empties back, condensate or what? I didn't know we were refining oil by rail out here on the coast and sending it back east. That makes no sense. Perhaps it is refined products they were delivering when they were headed westbound. Thanks again for posting another video that makes me want to get off The Island and go rail fanning. I'm definitely jealous.

From what I noticed most tanker cars are listed as “Paint - Sherman Williams”. So this would most likely be loaded coming from the port heading inland on train CP 400. Thanks for watching!

I'd bet that the rails were put down long before the roadbed. The road followed the rails.

Don’t get carried away, the title is named “Train follows curvature of highway, which means this train in this video follows the same curvature of the highway, I never once stated that the highway was there first.

The second Caribou Wagon road was built through this section of the canyon in the 1860's. The Canadian Pacific was completed in 1885 so yes, the rails followed the road.

Other than the winter cold, Sasquatch or bear attacks, and maybe your Prime Minister tying to hitch a ride 'cause the truckers would run him over if they saw him on the road, I can't think of a better place to be a train driver. Sure is beautiful. Gracias por tu video. RT sends, Puebla, México...
