I traveled in peak Monsoon Sept 9 2022 and again in Dec 26, 2022, both times I got ALCO, but since Dec 2022, it was like 6 days of week ALCO and 1 day EMD, thats why u got EMD, which hualed TVC Rajdhani and then Matsyagandha before turning electric, but ALCO was the most epic one since it was WDM 3A, with lot of chugging and melodious horn, Anyways I loved your video and VLOG, with love from another Railfan from Dharwad, Karnataka.

Railways should focus doubling on this stretch to avoid the crossings & delays. In this route trains are mostly delay on crossings. If railway board execute for doubling might be useful to travel time can be cut off.

Merger of KR into IR can't happen until KR retires the debt it had taken to construct this line. Else the debt would reflect on IR books which wouldn't be colorful for IR. Also employee issues regarding promotion etc would need to be addressed. Would take time I feel.

Nope. Kulashekhara tunnel is part of SR. The first tunnel on KR is at Byndoor Road.

Bhatkal has become victim due to the misadventures of a few people. It's become infamous all over. Sad, but reality. Any idea about the areas which come under the various divisions on KR? Namely KAWR, MAO and RN.

KR has two regions - Karwar (Karnataka & Goa) and Ratnagiri (the regions within Maharashtra, IIRC)
