How do u know him. I knew him.very well and met his mom and her glow.plant..flower bloomed that year glowed every 50 yrs she said didnt think a plant lived that long

You probably never had to go out in the world trying to make a living to give your mother a better life and make something of your life. I’ve been living overseas for 20 years and recently lost my mom to cancer, I was coming to take care of her and she passed away 4 hours before I arrived. It had been one year since I last made a trip home. You obviously don’t know the pain one goes through when one loses the most important person in their life an not being able to be there physically. You talk about blasphemy but you seem to have missed compassion and empathy during your Bible studies. He describes how what we think of heaven is overrated compared to the real beauty and greatness it must be just by looking at the universe, which was created by God. So, no, I 100% disagree that he sacrificed his mom for fame. She had cancer. It happens, life happens and unfortunately we have to keep going to make a living and support our loved ones. To anyone that wasn’t able to be there for their mother when they died of cancer, this song changes its meaning completely and becomes even more special. This is one of the most heartfelt lyrics out there. And like he said in this interview, he’d give this song back to have his mother. I’ll pray for you, and I hope you never experience the pain of not being able to be with a loved one because you were working to provide for them and make them proud. God bless you.
