I highly appreciate how transparent you are with what is scripted and what is not, as well as whether the video and upcoming videos are sponsored or not
@PTGRail2 жыл бұрын
I will just add that the script is my own, I wrote it. I wasn’t told what to say, but was given guidelines on what needs to be included. This video and my next video are sponsored by DTG, none of my other TSW3 videos will be. And thank you! :)

Related to TSW3 For me the purchase is worth for SOT the SE-HS extra and the ICE1 , plus not being yeeted into some scenario or training module when starting any route
@ey72902 жыл бұрын
Yeah I don’t have a problem with TSW3, I paid £44 for the deluxe pre order I didn’t have the Steam Liverpool route, but for 4 DLCs it’s not a bad deal

Good to see you moving into TSW3 ! I think climbing in and out of things is more about how close you are than which step you look at.

I believe the test track itself is modelled on the one in Wldenrath in Germany, which is just a few miles from where I used to live in Wegberg many moons ago, although it was an RAF airfield back then. In real life of course there are no mountains - the land is as flat as a pancake!

Looking forward to a proper look at TSW3 when I escape the French ATC strike, languishing in Bordeaux Airport atm. Wish I had used Eurostar! At first glance I could see no way to use locos on different routes and they were still locked to their original routes. It's a pretty handy feature with the likes of class 37s, 47s etc which were used all over. Maybe I was just doing it wrong (again)! Thank you for your video, I really appreciate your helpful efforts.

Training centre is interesting concept, but definitely a work in progress. The dynamic weather is ok, but not TSC AP weather standards. The volumetric clouds look odd with the TSW2 skybox.

Are the opinions in this video your own? I know you wouldn't do that but just checking :)
@PTGRail2 жыл бұрын
They are indeed - I wasn’t told what to say. I was given guidelines on what to include, but my words and opinions are my own, and creative control of the video was left for me to decide. I’ve never really been a review channel; I’ve always been about informing people how to enjoy what we have, rather than criticising or complaining about what we don’t.

This is different! Nice! Are you a DTG ambassador then? Or am I just really confused 😆
@PTGRail2 жыл бұрын
DTG offered me a sponsorship deal to produce two videos for TSW3. They gave me a brief of what to include, but I was left in charge of what to say and retained full creative control. I was requested to make one video focusing on the new training centre, and one video covering a route of my choice. So tomorrow I’ll be releasing a route learning video from St Pancras to Ashford :)

oh my. a while ago i got train sim world 2020 for cheap and i tried it out. while i do appreciate it being difficult and realistic, the more than minimalistic guides and tutorial in game are more than lacking, and every info i find on the internet is so confusing that i am giving up soon lol. im really a complete noob regarding trains and im hoping this TRAINING CENTER will actually explain what why and how stuff is done. i really would love to play this simulator but for 2020 i cant get decent straight forward guids for each loco. so i will maybe try this version. i am already feeling stupid not really understanding what is going on. i hope i will somehow be able to get an understanding to enjoy this game. because now all i do is aimlessly following orders on my screen, not knowing half the time why and what to press . xD

So, you’ve decided to sell out?
@PTGRail2 жыл бұрын
I’m not sure that “selling out” is the right term, nor do I think this comment is fair. I’ve made one video highlighting the new features, which I was likely to do anyway. And I’ve got one more sponsored video which is nothing more than a standard route learning video that shows off some of the new features - primarily the lighting and weather. Again, a video I was likely to do anyway. My words are entirely my own. The script is entirely my own. I was given some guidelines on what they wanted to include, but all scripting and creative direction was still down to me. And it’s just for these two videos. I will continue to make my videos as usual, writing my own scripts, notes, and working hard on producing the best content I can. I’ve never been a review channel. I’ve always been about focusing on the positives of what we have, rather than the negatives. Personally I like TSW3, and don’t mind promoting it. Otherwise, you could say I “sold out” years ago when supplied free content by JT, free content from Master Key Simulations, free content from ATS, or when supplied free DLC by DTG. I will add that I still pay for much of my DLC, but I’ve been supplied a number of free products in the past on the proviso that I cover them in a video. My videos aren’t intended as promotional videos, but they do promote other peoples products.
