When I was on S&T VSC Clapham Junction, had high failure rate, ASE was 'wrong man for job' had to be paid off, replacement was told that he was to be sacked in 6 months time with Chief Signal engineers unless failure rate dropped, bought in man from Swanley, led a task force team, he found lots of defective equipment, reduced failure rate, did a good job.

Love your videos. As an American I enjoy seeing these since I can’t ride them. My only problem with these DTG routes is there’s not enough AI traffic. I usually have to create my own scenarios to enjoy it.

I used to watch all of these videos a few years ago. They were all I thought about - it's been some time. If you ever make it back I hope its on the latest Train Sim World... Of course you (ptgrail) went away for a time and came back for a short time. Loved watching this videos but I hope if you come back you start making videos where you utilize the trains announcers voice like you only did on a few videos - There are other things you didn't due you could because one day when I am in the right situation, I hope to make videos just like this myself as I got so many ideas from watching yours. I'd like more dialogue - for instance the tunnels could be spoken on and when and were you enter nation parks (maybe why they are national parks) and famous structures trackside could also have comments about them - but I have thought of so many more things...

Not sure if you read old comments, but if you do: when you’re driving these routes do you memorise everything including braking points for stations and speed limit changes or do you have some information up somewhere to read?

Step one brake application is the normal requirement, use of step 2 and 3 is or was frowned upon and discouraged and you could be disciplined if using 2 or 3 too much ( known as erratic driving). Incidentally although the brake show step 1,2,3 and emergency. The actual brake is a 7 step brake using only 4 positions as step 1 brake coming from no brake is 1.4bar but coming down from step 2 or 3 to 1 it would be between 1.5 and 1.7bar that goes for step 2 also but you cannot release an emergency brake to step 3 or any other or even completely release until the train speed is around 4mph.

53:00 After reading an article by someone who went on a cab ride, the driver told then that whilst driving they’re allowed to overspeed by max 3km/h, anythibg above that has to be reported to their manager.

Another super-sized model railway that's here in America is EnterTRAINment junction in Ohio, just outside of Cincinnati. Beautiful model communities, and it also has time of day changes. Fortunately I think you can fly nonstop from LHR-CVG if you want to visit.

wait, at law junction why is our speed limit 60 at the 75 board? it's not a differential speed board, so 75 should be for all trains including freight
