Mit der Bahn bin ich schon fünf oder sechs mal hoch und runter gefahren. Und auch mehrmals hoch und runter gewandert. Es war immer wieder schön.

Schönes und vor allem interessantes Video. Kenne die Strecke nur aus Fahrgastsicht. Freut mich, dass ihr so einen netten Fahrer erwischt habt, der euch die Kamera hat platzieren lassen.

Hallo @no_media, Hallo und danke für den netten Kommentar. Manchmal, wenn man nett fragt, wird eine Kamera an den unglaublichsten Orten platziert und es entstehen gute Aufnahmen. Das hat sehr gut geklappt, und das ist, wie Sie sagen, dem Lokführer zu verdanken. 😀 Ich hoffe, dass Sie den Kanal abonnieren und vielleicht auch Mitglied werden, um früher Zugang zu unseren Videos zu erhalten!

Ein sehr schönes Video. Die Wendelsteinbahn wurde im Mai 1912 eröffnet. Die Steigung von 23,7 % ist für eine normale Eisenbahn bei weitem zu steil, weswegen in der Gleismitte eine Zahnstange zum Einsatz kommen muss. Auch wenn die Wendelsteinbahn gegen ihren großen Bruder, die Zugspitzbahn, also die Zahnradbahn auf die Zugspitze, keine Chance hat, ist die Fahrt mit ihr dennoch sehr reizvoll. In Deutschland gibt es vier Zahnradbahnen, die sowohl von der Betriebsführung als auch von der Verkehrsplanung und Technik her unterschiedlicher nicht sein könnten: Die Zugspitzbahn, die Wendelsteinbahn, die Zahnradbahn Stuttgart und die Drachenfelsbahn. Alle vier Anlagen sind sehr sehenswert.

Wunderschöne Strecke, danke für die Aufnahmen. Lohnt sich so eine aufwändige Strecke in dieser dünn besiedelten Gegend überhaupt, oder ist das mehr für Tourismus gedacht?

Wir gehen davon aus, dass es von der dortigen Forschungsstation genutzt wird und durch den Tourismus noch attraktiver wird. Es ist eigentlich nur für die ganzen Wanderer und im Winter für die Skifahrer und die treten sich da oben teilweisen ganz schön auf die Füße. Ich bin da einmal damit raufgefahren. 30 € für das, das dir dann so ein alte Tante dir die Wanderstöcke ins Kreuz haut.

Das ist ne reine Touri-Attraktion, der Wendelstein und besonders das Wendelsteinhaus sind meistens total überlaufen. Ich lebe in der Region und wenn überhaupt, gehe ich lieber zu Fuß auf den Berg, da hat man mehr davon und trifft weniger deplatzierte Stadtmenschen.
