My college and me are going to go to Italy to her daughter. She is studying at University there. We are going to study some Italian words on You Tube need to for traveling and buy the train tickets to different cities long before. Because Catholic Easter will celebrate in that time there. To day I watched the video "The 10 easy language for the English speakers" (😂 I am an English speaker 😉😉). "Italian one of the easy language.." - was said in that video.

I generally hate public means of transportation - I love freedom of pulling out and pulling off and a schedule makes me angry. But I love panoramic trains like in Switzerland for example :)

You don't like the public transportation because is a short distance between countries in Europe.

Yes, it is more comfortable to drive. If I had to make a distance between Moscow and Vladivostok for example I would prefer a plane or a train instead of spending two weeks behind the wheel.

Well, "freight train", "coach" (when speaking about a train) - I thought it might be used for a bus only, "caboose" (I don't have any idea what it is called in Russian lol), "berth" (and an interesting idiom connected to another meaning of this word - "to give him/her a wide berth") I find the word "engineer" being a very unlogical one in English, though. I mean, we make almost all job names from a related verb, like drive -driver, build - builder, and so on. However, the word engineer is formed from a noun. PS: Sorry, I am going to use the en dash when I am typing on my laptop. )
@MadEnglishTV

Haha, that's great! 😃 Yes, "engineer" is a strange term for that job. 😄 I'll forgive you for the en dash. 😉

Mad English TV Two years ago, a Japanese magnetic levitation train broke its own world speed record, hitting 603km/h (374mph) in a test run. Maglev trains use electrically charged magnets to lift and move carriages above the rail tracks. The 280km journey would take only about 40 minutes, less than half the current time. In comparison, the fastest operating speed of a Japanese shinkansen, or "bullet train" is 320km/h.
@MadEnglishTV

That's amazing! I'd love to go 600 km/h in a train! The fastest I've gone is 300 in China.

You don't explain the 'Caboose' though in European countries you hardly can find this stuff attached to the trains. If u type 'sleeper car' or 'sitter car' on Google you won't get hits. Ok, it does not mean these terms are wrong. Like you type "Subway" you tks to the damn, aggressive marketing Google would give you the pics of the snobbish and ridiculously expensive BS eater company's stock fotos.

Great lesson. The word Caboose heard for the first time. I guess caboose is for luggage transportation. The word alight is very common in India. We don't have trains to other countries and it's only within India. For other countries we have to travel by Air or Sea. It's amazing to learn about other countries sitting somewhere. Thanks a lot. Please also make a video on travel by Sea so that we can learn about the words used in vessels I.e.ship , in other countries.

Hi! Before this pandemic, i was used to travel by the train from Casablanca to Tanger. At first, I bought a one way ticket from the kiosk then I went through a gate into the platform of the station and waited for a while. When the train arrived, I got on the right coach and took my aisle place. After 2h10min, the train arrived on time in Tanger and I got off (alighted) from it and took a taxi to go to the hotel. Take care! 🚄🚅🚝🚞🚋
