If you want a willing partner, stop calling him 'disrespectful', he's a baby and is clearly worried about you catching him. Maybe respect *him* by going slow and building his trust in humans. He'll have a better life that way. Why are all these foals on their own anyway?

Whats your horse channell & expertise in this area ? Horseperfect has Years of experience & An amazing way with all his horses . If your a horsey person , you should know by saying ' disrespectful ' Is correct as Foal is endangering him by wanting to kick him ...

This foal was previously "trained" and has learned this behavior, so yes, it's disrespect. Also turning a rump towards any animal is disrespectful in the horse world. Also, these are both clearly weaned foals, so they're supposed to be on their own anyway.

I don't profess to be an expert but I have 6 horses, 2 donkeys and have brought on many young horses. 2 of mine I had from foals and trained them but they never threatened to kick or tried to get away from me, I gave them no reason to. I'd also be interested to see what an osteopath thinks about the jerking on the head and rapid changes of direction...not natural movements for an equine and especially with the pressure from the lead rope.

@@sharonfinn2901 if you knew horses you would know this is a full grown pony not a foal.

First all he's not being disrespectful you are so put yourself in a horse's mind that and you need to think that it's a horse and you are human you are doing a terrible job training him and you could done a lot better you know nothing comes out of force but fear remember the golden rules when it comes to training a horse patience calm peaceful mind and most of all love and trust you do this and you can train any horse .

Can you not see the fear in his eyes when you're flinging that rope near his face/body 🤷‍♀️ I've started young horses and do not use fear to get results! Work at their pace..they are babies....

You could catch him better if you had a handful of grass or something. This is what horses do..they try to get away, they don't want to be caught so you should work with the horse. It wasn't being "disrespectful " You should learn from "DU" horseman "Clinton Andserson" here on youtube. He has lots of training videos you could learn from..."BEFORE you post training videos"
