Is it an electronic collar or an electric collar ? They are very different and do different things. He is not 'trying stuff' ... he already knows what he wants and how to likely get it from a certain dog. He is a true pro dog handler of serious working dogs.

The collar Haz uses is the ET-300 mini educator. It's an e-collar

@@markremmers7990 Right; I learned to use a Dogtra IQ for the past 8 years and recall having an Innotek brand real 'electric collar' in 1991 when there was nothing else available back then ... Aversive was set by collar dipswitches.

Do mal/gsd mixes ever have enough of one breed or the other that they become registered pure breds in either breed? Like if one is 95%gsd 5%mal can it be registered as a gsd? This kind of allowance for genetic diversity should in theory make certain illnesses less common. But im no breeder. I dont know shit.

Hey haz I have a 11month old shepherd it’s been really tough on figuring out how to communicate with her she really different from my male he’s always willing and good at putting what I’m asking together she shuts done with prong or slip and e collar i would like to try she has low ball drive I do get more response with food just wondering if you could share some info on getting her on the collar and food thanks

its not confusing at all. think of it like a leash, you can pull the dog backwards to stop it getting something it really desires, or you can drag it forwards when it sees something that causes it to want to retreat in fear. you can use the lead to pop for a correction, or repeatedly tug it to get the dog to let go. you can choke a dog off with a lead, or you can guide a young dog into position. in this case, he's replacing the leash pressure with the e-collar stim and showing how effective it is at becoming any given type of pressure at any moment. its why its the greatest tool in dog training since... the leash.

Awesome video, I’m not directing this to net one in particular, but I’ve used the e-collar on my gsd. She’s not very sensitive to things like the pinch collar and slip chain (and will sometimes ignore in high stress environments). She was taught how the e-collar works with a professional dog trainer and yet whenever I use a mid-level amount appropriately on her she will stop whatever she is doing and either twitch or start scratching her collar. I’ve never heard of a dog that does this except for her case and I’m wondering what I should do.

Maybe get your trainer to have another look to make sure that she was properly trained to accept it, and taught what she needs to do when she feels the pressure. Sometimes we think they’ve learned what to do, but they haven’t :)

Great tips that I can go implement on my dogs! I am loving this channel!!! Pressure means power! Plus, I have never heard a trainer say that different things (ball, food, pressure) motivate different dogs. One of my dogs is terrified of pressure, but noise and food would definitely motivate Patriot. But my Liberty trains great with just pressure.

Then you haven't been around too many trainers. Good one's at least. There are only two methods. Reward and punishment or pressure, as he says. I just don't care for the idea of using a device or method that the dog is never going to understand.

So far, I don't even understand this guy. First time that I have watched a trainer and have no idea what he is trying to accomplish, do or talking about and this is my 3rd video on him and this eco collar crap does not sit well with me. I guess I will move on. Herm Springer all the way!

He does this as a profession so it would hurt his business to only train tier 1 dogs since most people and dogs aren't perfect and genetically sound

@@Skateboss369 Step 1 in dog training: Select a dog/pup worth training. If you have to work with somebody else's dogs, then you don't have much of a choice. I'm talking about a personal dog, dog for a breeding program or a dog that I'm trying to place in a working home.
