Have you ever heard of android physique? This term does not refer to a new companion robot, but refers to the typical morphology of the male body. But what exactly are we talking about?
The android physique is characterized by a fat distribution that tends to accumulate mainly on the abdomen and waistline. This type of conformation, known as an apple, contrasts with the gynoid distribution, more common in women, which sees a greater presence of fat on the thighs, buttocks and hips. By contrast, it is often defined as pear-shaped.
If you have an android body and want to improve your appearance, focus on training aimed at overall weight loss and optimizing your proportions. This is because, on the one hand, we know that there is no way to eliminate fat in a localized way, but, on the other hand, we are able to develop the muscles of the thighs, buttocks, shoulders and arms. A mix of resistance training, to increase the daily energy cost, and strength training, to increase muscle trophism, are the only useful tools for obtaining appreciable results.
But nutrition also plays a fundamental role, even if, contrary to old and now outdated theories, there is no specific diet for the android physique, which could therefore influence the distribution of body fat. That said, to lose weight, it is essential to follow a low-calorie diet, while, to gain muscle mass, it is imperative to eat more than you consume.
In summary, therefore, if you are overweight and have an android physique, the advice is the same as that which can be applied to those who have a gynoid physique, with the only difference that you will be able to better manage muscle growth while respecting the proportions you want obtain.
