And FYI I wrote that about :40 into watching. I was compelled because you look SO different. That triathlete stroke is being pushed out by the swimmer inside. (Former D1 here) Get in a bunch of garbage yards over the winter and then start to blend in some faster stuff with the same stroke and boom. 💥 🎉

I remember your video from last year, your stroke looks better but there is still room for improvement. Being a tall guy your stroke can be more efficient and benefit for those extra inches. Your stroke is more suited for shorter distances, like pool swimming, than for open water/distance/triathlon. You should be able to stretch that stroke on the front and hold it for 1/2 a second before starting the pull. The thing is, you are so strong that you cover those deficiencies with willpower. 20 minutes for a 1500 is good, but don't forget that Javier Gomez Noya swam a 15;56 on his peak. I would probably work on side kicking, balance, front quadrant stroke, stroke rate/time and keeping the rate on long swims.
@SamYoYoYoLong21 күн бұрын
@@marcelocastrolapocha yes I agree! Therefore it makes sense I am currently losing 4’ to the front as most of these guys I think swim similar. We will make gains this off season
