Just a quick comment concerning the impact Dave has had on people. I get it, Dave is a humble man, he’s not self-seeking. And if he happens to read this he probably won’t finish reading it or won’t care. But nonetheless, I’m here to say he had a hell of an impact on me. I’m 52, I’m not a young navel-gazing kid with no experience or wisdom. I’ve trained over half my life but did not fall in love with powerlifting until I was 46-47. Very late to the game, I know. With all that said, I watched about every strength trainer on KZbin but only one brought me back everyday on my lunch break to learn from more than Dave. It was my only tool for learning technique, accessories, mentality and everything else. When I started see how his teaching carried over my training, I was hooked. And with 20+ years of training already under my belt, this new passion for me was immense, and Dave and elitefts had a huge influence in that. I did get to meet Dave a couple years ago at a TYAO event and finally got to shake his hand and thank him. I hope on some level he accepted the impact he had on this old man.
