There are old pro boxers with long pro careers who didn't get arthritis. There are people who did nothing out of the ordinary who end up with severe arthritis. It's kind of one of those things....it can happen either way. I'm sure there are things that aggravate it or bring it on earlier, not arguing that there aren't. I just don't think the risk is enough that it should stop you from really going after what you want, whether that's MMA, karate, mountain climbing, boxing, hang gliding, swimming, whatever it is.

@Max-xf1mw4 жыл бұрын
@@frankreynolds7404 They don't and that's definitely not good for self defense but that's black and white thinking because there are many aspects of Karate which make for good self defense. Traditional martial arts are the roots of modern MMA, especially karate, boxing, jiu-jitsu and muay thai. Bruce Lee especially loved wing chun, boxing and karate, but he saw how all martial arts lacked in someway so he founded mixed martial arts and what we know as MMA today. He saw that the great characteristics of Karate is the power, and the body conditioning. I've not seen any UFC fighter with as good body conditioning as many Karate practitioners because in Karate there is almost an unparalleled focus on those things.

@@thelastaramusha Definitely Kyokushin, the point this guy is trying to make (you have to be physically strong), his technique (we learn to hit yodan, we just dont hit yodan in tournaments). The whole mindset of this dude is kyokushin. Also look at the kanji at his dogi. It stands for shinkyokushinkai, which is a kyokushin karate style. All his techniques were straight from kyokushin. Kyokushin is the only real full contact karatestyle, but its also a mindset of pushing your limits. Being the boss of your body when your body says NO.
