The foals did wonderful for the first time ponying. And Beauty… at only 4 years old, you can trust her to help train the foals, lead on trail rides, be ridden and shown by your students, and do just about anything you ask of her. She also keeps the foals company and she protected them like she’s their mother when the geldings were let in with them. Beauty acts much more mature than her actual age. You hit the jackpot with her! ❤️🐴💜

I so enjoy watching ALL of your videos! The foals are doing wonderfully and Beauty is a rockstar! I love your videos because you are definitely a super awesome trainer. I worked with Standardbreds racing circuits in the midwest and New York, and Canada for 15 years. I am 75 and retired from the racing business. My last horse I had was a 2 time world champion racing at the Meadowlands in New Jersey. He was a 6 years old stallion named What’s Next. He was sold to Breeding farm in Australia. He sired a few good horses. The farm always kept me informed of his progress and would send me pictures of him running around in the field. When he passed away at 20 years old, they told me about it and sent me a picture of where they buried him.

I love watching your videos, brings me back to my horsey days. I grew up around horses & had a pony but my first horse was a yearling Morgan colt(Gem). When I went to buy him I found out that he & I shared a birthday! A few years later my cousin bred her Arab mare & I got the foal as payment for boarding & caring for her mare. She had a little colt(Thief), it was amazing watching him absorb everything. He ended up being the steadiest horse I had ever known. From his first time under saddle he acted like an old veteran. Enjoy it all!! Times just flies by, I miss those days! Thank you for letting me relive those days through your videos. Be Well!

So proud of Beauty. What a good solid horse to pony from and in her super comfy bitless bridle. Lovely to see the foals having fun with their friend Beauty being big girls having to figure out the new game. Very happy to follow. Not so easy to baby them leading from another horse. I think you all did awesome. It's not easy wrangling the rope, esp with inexperienced horses switching sides. First step towards the fillies hitting those trails and really having some fun. Ponying is a great skill for all horses and riders to learn but something many forget about.🐎

Ground driving yearlings with a blanket and surcingle in a bit-less bridle with the long lines going thorough the surcingle rings is an excellent step towards confidence. I start in the arena. After I have led them along the road, we ground drive there also. I give them pellets for every vehicle that comes by, including motorcycles, etc. I tie grocery and garbage bags to the surcingle rings when I hand walk them, then when I ground drive them. At 2+ years, I ground drive them in alight weight English saddle using the stirrups for the long lines that are attached to the bit-less bridle. When they are confident with that, I get them used to a life-sized cloth dummy in jeans and a shirt with a cowboy hat. Then I tie it over the saddle and take them for walks with it. Then we ground drive with the same dummy in the saddle. By the time I sit on their back at 3+ years and walk around in the arena, they could care less. I feed them their morning bucket food at the mounting block so they love standing there without moving. It works real well for all horse breeds.
