Слава Україні sometimes written in Latin as Slava Ukraini and Героям слава in Latin alphabet Heroyam Slava. Another thing sometimes written in Ukrainian is, Слава ЗСУ! Meaning, Glory to the Armed Forces of Ukraine! If you ever see it, but it's full wording would be, Слава Збройним Силам України! Hence the 'ЗСУ' (which is okay to type if you have a Cyrillic keyboard set up, or use online translate such as Google Translate). Honoured to honored made me laugh!

Canada has deployed 90 personnel from 3PPCLI to the UK to help train Ukraine recruits (up to 225 will be deployed), continuing our training mission *Operation UNIFER* which started in 2015 and was interrupted by the Russian invasion in February. (Prior to the invasion and the subsequent exodus of >6 million Ukraines into eastern Europe, Canada had the third largest Ukraine diaspora in the world after Ukraine and Russia.) Canada is also providing Ukraine with 500'000 sets of winter clothing and gear. 🟦 Слава Україні! (Slava Ukraini!) - Glory to Ukraine! 🟨 Героям слава! (Heroiam slava!) - Glory to heroes!

It makes up a little bit for refusing almost all Ukrainian refugees, and trying to deter even people with relatives in the UK (such as by sending refugees to apply in Paris, then switching to another city without notice.). If only our politicians had the enlightened attitude of our military.

That's a bit quick, unfortunately. Maybe in a year or year and a half, unless the entire Russian military just folds and runs, all at once. And that requires the NATO allies to stay strong and united and continue to provide weapons and support. As the Ukrainians run out of Russian ammo, they will require a lot more, and equipment to shoot that NATO ammo. Of course, the Russians are accommodating the Ukrainians to some extent, actually the largest contributor of weapons to Ukraine of any country in the world now. Terribly nice of them.

There are thousands of Ukrainian and foreign legion fighters in the UK right now training every day. Its unreal. Yeah it wasn't mention here but i know Denmark has a similar training feild hosting Ukranians. Norway has trainers in England helping. That's just to name the few off the top of my head. Oh Poland has some and i think one of the Baltic states does too.

The UK is the hub for large format training of soldiers since they have the space, its far enough away from the battlefield that they can get their heads out of that game and into training, and its host to centers for all the other allied nations. The US is taking care of missileer training in Poland as well as air combat training. Germany is doing tanker training since they have the closest live fire tank field. IIRC Norway is doing EOD training. The US is doing special operations and air combat training in the US for certain small teams. Then Denmark, Australia, Canada, and....I forgot who else, are doing field artillery training I think in Poland. All the Allied Nations have boots on the ground doing training with the Ukrainians. Spain, Portugal and Greece are doing Infantry and anti-tank tactics, or they were.

Us brits don’t fear big powerful brutal countries, same as Ukraine dosent. The U.K. has an immensely successful military history and the first class training is part of the reason why Ukraine against all odds is performing so well. The Russians one day will get what’s been coming to them if they provoke a nuclear war

@@jbx- I’m afraid you are conflating military competence with economic/political. “Us Brits” were kowtowing nauseatingly to the Americans as the economic catastrophe of Brexit loomed. And if not for endless favours from the EU, which has bent over backwards to not treat the UK as the third country it now is, we would have been entirely at Trump’s mercy. It is all a but less public now, and Biden can see the utility in throwing a strategic ally a few bones so as not to destabilise it: but the UK is very reliant on goodwill and *enlightened* self-interest from both the US and EU right now. At some point the right-wing mouthbreathers will be in charge in the US again, unfortunately. Another big problem we have had for the last 10-15 years at least is deep corruption and incompetence in military contracts. It wasn’t poor military leadership that left guys in Afghanistan in unarmoured Landrovers and buying their own protective vests, or that got us a white elephant aircraft carrier with no aircraft. It is a class of people who got their feet under the table with politician chums giving each other donations and contracts, bleeding the military budget. This is a huge threat to UK security.
