@@kbanghart Chuck Norris may support those people but he has a much bigger heart than them. What Chuck Norris has done for students in middle schools and high schools across this country struggling with the influence of drugs can only be described as compassionate and self giving. That's the difference between Chuck Norris and Donald Trump, Trump only cares about himself. Martial artists care for everyone, or at least their instructors do their best to teach them that.

Mr. Chuck Norris, besides being a pioneer in bringing martial arts to mainstream attention by participating, winning, and conducting tournaments as well as through his movie personas, has always been a good human being with courtesy to his master, love and support for his students, appreciation for stuntmen and stuntwomen, and by conveying straightforwardly which he believes in (from politics to culture). In my personal opinion, his acting skills were also better than, at least, that of the likes of Schwarzenegger, Van Damme, or Seagals. But he never got big breaks from big studios like those fellows as he remained steadfast in his beliefs rather than being politically correct switching sides and standpoints like them. Mr. Chuck Norris, a true champion, a true American from the standpoints upon which America was built upon in its founding days (And I am a brown Asian). To Mr. Norris 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽.

What Chuck is saying is exactly what Bruce use to say about not limiting yourself to one style of fighting. I wounder who influenced who to this point of view or if they both had it which is why they became friends.
@barrettokarate5 жыл бұрын
They both did. Although they knew of each other, Norris and Lee did not formally meet til 1967. That year was when Lee formally founded his art jeet kune do. Norris had cross trained since 1959/1960. His original art was judo, but an injury forced him to take him off. While he was healing he began training in tang soo do-moo duk kwan. In 1966, he began training with Fumio Dumura, Hidetaka Nishiyama, Tsutomu Oshima, Ed Parker and Gene LeBell. So both were already very open minded with regards to learning different arts by the time they met each other. Even after Lee's death Norris continued cross training. He did hapkido with Jun Chong, jujitsu with Al Thomas and jiu-jitsu with the Gracie and Machado families.

Chuck is a really nice friendly guy, But he isnt a fighter and never was.dont confuse point stop karate tournaments with real fighting. he has always called himself a fighter. but when you compete at scoring a point you get stopped a point awarded and then you continue until the 1st to reach a couple points wins. this is NOT FIGHTING. real competitive fighting is contionuous using full power with intent to even knock your guy out. chuck never ever did that. he was a champion at tag nothing more otherwise a showboater self glorifying his overblown achievement
