People who are hating on Sanemi so today I will answer them : 1. Why not Sanemi could have talked Genya to not join the Demon Slayer Corps ? Sanemi wanted genya to hate him because Sanemi thought that if he died one day then Genya would definitely take revenge for his brother, which Sanemi definitely not wanted. Sanemi wanted Genya to live peaceful live that's why Sanemi wanted Genya to hate him. 2. Sanemi was about to blind Genya, which is not justified at all ? Here my theory is, Sanemi just wanted to scare genya because i think Sanemi knew the whole time that tanjiro was there. But How can I so sure ? Because No one was able to find Nakime's eyeball in the entire series because it was made for the purpose of hiding, but Sanemi found it just by a slight sound. Do you really think sanemi wouldn't know tanjiro was there ? Come on Bro, He is literally Hashira. I think Sanemi was checking whether Tanjiro will save Genya or not if he attacks Genya. And when tanjiro came to protect genya, Sanemi sure that Tanjiro will protect Genya 3. Why Sanemi was beating tanjiro If Sanemi was sure that Tanjiro would protect Genya ? I think Sanemi was beating Tanjiro on purpose. Sanemi knew that tanjiro hate Sanemi ( But tanjiro didn't ) and tanjiro is good friend of genya. So, Sanemi was beating Tanjiro which make Genya convinced that Sanemi is a bad person and other reason is, Sanemi thought tanjiro will say bad things about Sanemi to genya which definitely made genya hate Sanemi. That's why he suddenly allowed genya to go to the same training as tanjiro. So that, Tanjiro can say bad thing about Sanemi. Sanemi lost everyone he care for like His siblings, Mother, His friend, His crush So he doesn't want to loose his only brother. 4. Becoming a demon slayer could also be Genya's personal choice so Sanemi was interfaring ? First of all, Being a Demon Slayer cannot be anyone's choice. All the slayer become Demon Slayer for some purpose. And Genya's purpose to demon slayer is the same as Sanemi, "To Protect and Care his Only Brother" which Sanemi not wanted at all. Honestly I feel like the trainings in anime often teach the worst lessons. Deep breath 24/7? Recipe for permanently damaged lungs. Training = getting beaten up or beating yourself up 24/7? Permanently damaged body. Solution to victory = Push yourself beyond your limits until love and friendship saves you? High chance for death.

15:30 sanemi killed their mother that turned into a demon but genya only saw her as "mother" not as demon so he hated sanemi for a while (this is why he wanted to apologise in this episode). sanemi then distanced himself from genya and now he gives back the hatred he received.

Watching this episode made me wish my prediction of spending half and half of ep 4 with Muichiro and Mitsuri were right, with all the added stuff and the remaining slayers having enough content to cover from the manga it feels lame for Mitsuri's section to be reduced to a post-credit scene and 2 minutes lol, the rest of the episode was good tho, it's only uphill from here imo.

yeah, that's the only part i didn't like about this ep. they did Mitsuri kinda dirty in comparison. it would've been fine a Muichirō/Mitsuri ep because we had the two of them just last season. that was my prediction too.

İt's not their kind of series. They are more into plot oriented stuff. Demon slayer is known for its fight animation. They are watching because it's popular and got great visuals I'd guess. They did say at the end of season 3 that they don't expect much from the series.

Each chapter I think more that this arc would have been better as a 2nd season, that they put it after the Mugen Train as a consequence of the death of a pillar. It would better justify the appearance of the mark in Tanjiro as well
