Your videos are the absolute best for training birds I've found! My daughter and I just picked up a pair of lovebirds that are bonded and breeding. They seem very sweet, but extremely shy. How can we get them to open up and trust us? We've had them for a couple weeks and are patient with them but with zero progress. Please help!

I have 20 birds and I have learned that training a bird takes a lot of patients I got a grown up bird and it took me 5 months just to get it to be comfortable around me but one way is to sit around it talk to it and keep your hand in the cage with some food so it can eat from it hand

@24movements8 жыл бұрын
i've been trying to teach my bird this trick for a while. we are stuck at him letting to the object, but he doesn't seem to understand i want it in my hand. he always seems to drop it from where he picks it up. i try to make variations by putting my hand under him and rewarding him and making a small distance for him to fail with. once he's failed too many times without getting rewarded, he gets frustrated and wants to quit. i know this may be difficult to give advice to, but i thought i'd ask. love your videos.

My 6 month old parrotlet is target trained and is very good with stepping up. I tried to teach him how to fetch, but he can't understand that I want him to pick up his ball. Honestly, I've never seen him pick up anything yet. LOL. Any advice on how to train him to start picking up items? I know the ball we have is light enough, and he can hold it with his beak because when I tried to hand it to him, he bit it. I let go of it and he held it in his mouth for a quick second.
