Of course Nick Kyrgios cares. And just because he had a light hit before the match doesn't mean he doesn't train his ass off. No one - NO ONE - in the world is naturally gifted enough to beat Fed, Nadal, and Djoker without playing a zillion hours. Sure, Kyrgios can sharpen his attitude, but to think he doesn't train hard or doesn't care is an illusion.

@@tenfitmentennisimpulse I don't mean to criticize because you seem to be a diligent and hardworking hitting partner, but I was shocked that you told him "don't hit my camera." I mean, it's your job to help him train and warm up however he sees fit. Im a diehard Kyrgios fan and i was so happy watching him win today's match with rafa but ive got to admit that he's putting in zero effort in this practice and looked like he dint give a shit abt it. But he did say that he enjoys basketball more than tennis so it cant be forced when he's passion isnt there i guess. I believe he could easily be in the top 5 if he actually wants to. Thanks for your thorough comments, I really appreciate you sharing your thoughts with us! Really glad you enjoy our videos, please share them with some friends who you think might like to watch them as well. I agree about Nick. That win against Rafa was unreal. Especially how he saved those match points at the end. He was also a bit lucky though. But again, luck comes with risk! He has that "I don't care" attitude which, in my opinion, on one side brought him to where he is now (currently #72 but in general top 20) but on the other side it prevents him to become one of the best in the world. Totally. The 'I don't care' is a defense mechanism when he wishes he had more control over things. Could see it when he resumed his match with Humbert at Wimbledon after it was stopped at 3-3 in the fifth set. The stakes were so high for those last few games and he'd had 24 hours to stew on it. It's him in the tunnel waiting to come on and saying 'oh man, i just want to go to the pub and have a beer'.

I like how you added certain points when Nick spoke and apologizing. A lot of people make him seem like a bad dude for being mad during games but I honestly think it can't be controlled that easily. Having a competitive spirit sometimes can be bad in the sense that you act out without thinking. I rather he has a competitive spirit than to fix it tbh. As a person who also have a similar issue, I tend to act out and shit which isn't great but when I fixed that mindset it became hard for me to play seriously in the sports I love.

@roumenspassov16045 жыл бұрын
I think its his 'lack of caring' attitude is what propelled him to his success, to be honest. Too many people put too much pressure on themselves and I think too much pressure does more harm than good. (Talking from my own experience). Great session!
@tenfitmentennisimpulse5 жыл бұрын
Thanks Roumen for your comment. I agree with you here. It's maybe not THE reason why he became world top player, but it certainly helped him. I understand very well what you mean by putting too much pressure on yourself. It's when you want something too much and simply care too much. You put too much effort and have high expectations for yourself. I think that the key is to be hungry, work hard, but at the same time to turn off emotions as much as you can and care less when you lose matches.
