This might sound weird but i trained my hair to curl by flat ironing it. I dont know how or why but everytime i flat iron my hair...my curl pattern got more defined so every few months i do a blow out. I dont recommend yall try this at home tho cause i dont want to be responsible for any heat damage
@truvy_5544
@truvy_5544 5 жыл бұрын
Maybe its because you're hair loves the heat, do you deep condition or prepoo using heat? (Like being up under the hooded dryer or using your body heat) I trained my curls by stretching them

okay this is wild... my mother (a hairstylist) blowed out and flat ironed my hair about six week ago... I really feel like it has aided in how manageable my texture is but I don't want to admit that lol because I was so scared to put heat on it... I think you might be on to something!

I honestly don't know what you really mean by "training" your hair
@KimberlyCherrell
@KimberlyCherrell 6 жыл бұрын
Anne Cuthers ok... why do you train anything? To act the way you want it to act right? That essentially what this means. When you train your Hair your Hair becomes more manageable and easy to style

Anne Cuthers it applies to any type of hair that can be alot to deal with like natural hair... a good regimen is key
@Kharizmah
@Kharizmah 6 жыл бұрын
I 'm high porosity and clay mask, but I think of "training" slightly differently. When I watched Amber's video, the training I saw was using the "shingling" method. To me training is what happens as your hair dries. You do "something" with it on the regular, so that after it dries it's more manageable. The videographer correlates that with the clay mask. I correlate it with "parting" You know if you part your hair a certain way consistently it just naturally parts there. My training is dampening and doing an overnight braid-out, bantu knot, double bun or banding.

@KimberlyCherrell

Nope they won't 'change' your curl pattern but they stretch and distribute product evenly. You should have so much water on your hair that you do not see ANY frizz.

Dayna Merrick I don't think it really changes the curl pattern. I believe it just comes the girls together and sometimes make them more defined. Don't quote me though LOL is there a different problem going on because water should be the first moisture that gets your curls popping?maybe you have product build up .do you put alot of heat to your hair?

@taylormorgan4930
@taylormorgan4930 4 жыл бұрын
Before I say this, I'm ugly. 😂 for one you have to learn all about your hair. Curl typing doesn’t matter because your hair is constantly changing especially when it gets longer it’s all about your hair porosity when you know your level then you’ll know how often you should moisturize and with what products. In the beginning I used the lco method and that worked out but now i just shampoo condition deep condition and add leave in the shower and add a little oil maybe. I did and still do protein treatments the mayonnaise and egg was my favorite sounds weird and nasty (and it was👀😂) but it worked look up the benefits of doing a hair mask whatever your hair is lacking their is always a solution. When it comes to buying hair products don’t spend all your money on it look up reviews on different hair products on KZbin and find the one that you think would work best for you not every product your friend use would work. Another thing you have to do is train your curls when you do a wash n go or something. When the shingling method eventually your curls would curl by them self. The best gel I ever use was homemade flaxseed cheap and works wayyyy better then store bought but if you don’t have to time to make it use the flaxseeds eco styler if that doesn’t work for your hair then use a different one like the pink one the clear one or what ever eco styler is cheap and works the best. Before i thought my hair was normal porosity but like I said your hair changes so now it’s low and I have to do everything in the shower for the most part I do the shampooing and stuff in the sink then after deep conditioning under the dryer I just rinse off and add leave in in the shower. Also my hair started to frizz when I did my wash n gos and products used to just sit on my hair which was a sign I tried doing them in the shower but it takes tooo much time so as I can see I’m still learning.

GOD bless you Peter said to them, Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ, for the remission of your sins; and you will receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. (Acts 2:38) There is no salvation in any other; for there is no other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved. But God shows his love for us, that when we were still sinners, Christ died for us. (Romans, Chapter 5: 8) For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans, Chapter 6:23

Mimi Singleton I think a lot of us do this already, just didn't know we were training our hair in the process.
