Its not normally as quick as that. Its often a steady reduction.
@TypicalDutchSaysHi11 жыл бұрын
In Airbus flights, there is a standard thrust reduction. The throttle is set from take-off go-around or FLEX setting to Climb Thrust. This is not because of rate of climb, it's a setting in the computer such as "at x feet, set CB" but called Thrust Reduction Altitude.

cfms sound so good on full throttle. one of the most underrated engines imo

@tannagra11 жыл бұрын
At a pre-determined altitude the thrust is reduced from take-off to climb, modern aircraft (boeing or Airbus etc) have computerised throttle management systems so this reduction normally happens without pilot intervention - hence it can be fairly quick.

It involves a lot of leaning and twisting round. Gives me back pains if I do it for long times like this, but that's the case whenever you sit in front of the wing I suppose. Its a sacrifice I make to hear the great engine sounds, which you don't hear behind the wing or over it.

Hey! Someone who understands! I know i had that problem when i saw in 4F when i went to Newcastle in July. Trust me, the best row in front of the wing is 5F. You have one window, but it is exactly on your right, so you just look out, no awkward leaning back or front. Row 4F is like that too!
@GuitaristDefty11 жыл бұрын
I'm pretty sure it's to reduce airspeed during the climb. They usually pump the engines back up a little, but not fully once levelled out.
@Slaners10011 жыл бұрын
All flights do it- once the autopilot goes on, the rate of climb is reduced, the airspeed lowers and flies the standard instrument departure (SID)
@richygambs32111 жыл бұрын
Is 3A a good seat? Or do you have to lean back or forward to see outside and get the wing? I sat on 3F a few weeks ago and i had to lean a bit forward to see the wing. Row 5F is best because the window is exactly where your head is so no leaning back or forward. Row 4F is horrible is you want to film. There are 2 windows buy you either have to bend your head backwars or learn forward quite a bit. I have to face this dilemma of choosing a seat every time i travel.

I think....... it's because the A/T. if the headwind increases, the Air Speed increases too, so, the engine make these corrections to keep the asigned airspeed.... Well, that's what I think
@Slaners10011 жыл бұрын
No the airspeed increases from the v2 speed to usually 250 kts, then 280, 300 and then Mach I believe- don't know what I meant last message :/ sorry

@kokowawa20210 жыл бұрын
Why the pilot is slowing down too much after takeoff and accelerates again ?
@TrainPlaneHub10 жыл бұрын
He didn't slow down too much, its auto throttle. ATC also impose speed restrictions until you're above certain altitudes and noise abatement purposes. Its a common thing. Every aircraft/airline will reduce power after take off. And increase again during latter parts of the climb where needed.
@kokowawa20210 жыл бұрын
rachaelmatt Thanks
@IntelxCinema10 жыл бұрын
After take off they put the throttle into climb thrust which reduces the power to the right amount for climb, also speed restrictions - below 10,000 feet pilots are restricted to 250 knots
@Sterlingjob10 жыл бұрын
3000ft noise marker. I'm also guessing he was at full power or toga due to wet runway.
@Skanoir08 жыл бұрын
when you hear the engines spooling down it means they're leveling off due to altitude costraints of the departure procedures or for atc indication. When you hear engines spooling up again it means they have been cleared to continue climb. Gatwick has a lot of such restrictions. (not a real pilot, just an aviation enthusiast)
