This video looks at trains at Albury, on the NSW side of the NSW/VIC border. Albury is situated along the ARTC operated 'main south' line from Sydney - Melbourne. The line is used predominantly for intermodal traffic, with Pacific National the main operator. Pacific National services you will see in this video are Sydney to Melbourne intermodal traffic, and steel traffic from Port Kembla to Melbourne, as well as the empty steel train returning to NSW.
SCT also operate their intermodal services between Queensland and Victoria along this line, and in this video you will see two of their services.
SSR also make an appearance in this video, hauling a grain train from southern nsw to Melbourne.
In addition to the freight traffic, Albury train station is also served by Transport for NSW's XPT passenger train which operates two daily return trips between Sydney and Melbourne. V/Line victoria also operate a three times daily return passenger service between Albury and Melbourne. You will see both of these passenger services in this video.
I hope you enjoy the video :) keep an eye out for part 2!
