I have been to Bishops Stortford, Hertford East, Cambridge and Stansted Airport. And the Class 720s that are now in service on the West Anglia main line and Hertford East branch line. And the Stansted Express Class 745/1 that are also in service. With the Class 317 to be phased out and to be sent for scrap and the Class 379 Electrostars which have now been stored. Greater Anglia could of retained the Class 379s for the Hertford East service and Stratford-Meridian Water shuttle.

Same here Ben. I don't think they got enough love from enthusiasts. The workhorses that ran West Anglia for 40 years unceremoniously.

@@StarlifeStudios not just West Anglia. They were on KGX-PBO, STP-BDM and they use to work on London, Tilbury and Southend line. Even when I was at GA they worked LST-WTM services as well. They are very underrated and deserve more recognition for 40 years of commuter service

Correct Rob it should be, GA are still short of 745 units and this leads to both sub-types covering for each other. It’s not uncommon to also see StanEx units on the Norwich route. Thanks for watching!

Bishop's Stortford railway station is on the West Anglia Main Line serving the town of Bishop's Stortford in Hertfordshire, England. It is 30 miles 27 chains down the line from London Liverpool Street and is situated between Sawbridgeworth and Stansted Mountfitchet stations. Its three-letter station code is BIS. The station and all trains serving it are operated by Greater Anglia, including the half-hourly Stansted Express service.

How GreaterAngia managed to get all the ugliest trains is beyond me. Do they provide service for the Stansted express as they're in similar liveries. Tell you what, those 317's and 745's really accelerate quickly, which is great for service. Powerlines too which is great and less diesels where avoided. Great video as always!
