Crikey, I remember when the Water Crane was still at the Shenfield end of platform 4. The "kettles" on the all stations service used to top up with water after climbing the Brentwood Bank towards Shenfield. Used to hear them barking up the incline towards Shenfield, those were the days.

It's a bit bizzare. GA serve the suburb of a town, Shenfield, better than the town itself. Nice.
