In this video we see some trains at Canning Bridge, a station on Perth's Mandurah line. The station platforms are situated at ground level underneath the Canning Highway where the bus interchange is located. Unlike the other stations on the line which opened in 2007, Canning Bridge opened in 2002 as a bus transfer station. It was a place where bus passengers along Canning Highway could transfer to direct buses to the city on the lower level. As part of construction of the Mandurah line the lower level was converted into railway platforms.
This video was recorded during the start of the afternoon peak hour, so we see a number of 3 & 6 car B Series EMU's on stopping and express services. Stopping all stations services run as far as Cockburn Central while the express services are heading all the way to Mandurah. We also see a 4 car A Series EMU on a Cockburn Central service with a friendly driver.
Shortly after filming this video Transperth changed the timetable for the Mandurah line eliminating express services through this station.
