Trains at: Milton Keynes Central, WCML, 29/05/17

A fantastic and slightly damp evening spent at the always busy station of Milton Keynes Central on the West Coast Mainline where we see countless services from Virgin Trains, London Midland and plenty of freight from DB Cargo UK including a stunning convoy of locomotives including 92011 which I failed to get the number of at the time of recording. Because of works taking place there were no Southern services operating that day but it was made up by a great amount of services and some cracking shots in the rain of the 390 units speeding through the station.
My next station is Bedford on the Midland Mainline.

jarred, the convoy at the end were all numbered 66136, 67010, 67006, 92011 which is the one you missed, and 92016.

Now that was a very great long video,I did not think that every time when I see your videos I always hear the announcements every time about the British Transport Police number and also saying (see it,see it,sorted) I have no idea what that means but anyway great video shame there isn't any southern services available and the virgin trains services bound for Glasgow Central and Edinburgh Waverley but at least you caught the freight services at the end as a surprise and also the great tones. 👍😃😀😄👍🏾👍🏽👍🏿👍🏻👍🏼

I'm glad you enjoyed watching this, what you actually hear is See it, Say it, Sort it in reference to should you see something that doesn't look right then you call the BTP, tell them whats happening and they'll come and sort it out :) Hope that helps. It was a shame that Southern weren't running any trains that day but I think the wet weather conditions made up for it

It's been a while since your last video. It has been very wet at Milton Keynes, though it was worth the stay. I wonder if there was Engineering between Carlisle and Glasgow the day you were at Milton Keynes as the Virgin Trains Services went as North as Preston and Lancaster. While the distances of the West Coast Mainline between Euston and Glasgow and the East Coast Mainline between Kings Cross and Edinburgh are well documented. I had always pondered what the distances were on the CrossCountry Route. Knowing the VTEC services which travel between Kings Cross and Aberdeen cover 523 miles, ECML being 393 miles between Kings Cross and Edinburgh and CrossCountry's daily Aberdeen-Penzance service traverses 785 miles alongside the 80 mile Cornish Mainline between Plymouth and Penzance, Aberdeen-Plymouth is 705 miles, Edinburgh-Plymouth is 575 miles hence Aberdeen is 130 miles to the North and Edinburgh-Penzance is 655 miles. Plymouth is 547 miles from Dunbar and Penzance is 627 miles from Dunbar. Newcastle-Plymouth is 450 miles, Newcastle-Penzance is 530 miles, York-Plymouth is 370 miles and York-Penzance is 450 miles by XC HSTs, Voyagers and Super Voyagers.

Thanks very much, sometimes the WCML can be hit and miss if you're looking for freight. Some days there can be loads of running along the network and on other occasions such as that day there wasn't much running during the time that I was filming

That cannot be right. The 1719 London Midland service to Crewe was supposed to be formed of 8 coaches, not 4 because the 1646 at London Euston said 8 coaches and it must have 8 coaches for all London Midland trains to Crewe not calling at Stone, Kidsgrove and Alsager.

Sometimes they change their diagrams around to allow other trains to have longer consists. So in most cases it ends up being the Crewe train that suffers the most because the usual London to Milton Keynes/Northampton trains get more units available for use

Saw something like what that woman did at Wigan North Western a few weeks ago, was recording an 88 on a north bound freight working and as it was coming through the station at very quick speed some idiotic woman stood right at the edge of the platform so her partner could take a picture of her with the train behind her

Now I haven't got an issue with people doing that if the train is stationary and isn't going to be moving anywhere but if you've got a train hurtling up towards you the last thing you should do is stand directly infront of it. What should happen incase you slip or trip? I just don't comprehend the mind of some people, they seem to think that they will be invincible
