Wow, this brings back some memories...I attended college in Stevenage between 2008 and 2011, had to get the train back home to Welwyn Garden City or Hatfield a few times. :D

Nice to see a good variation. Here on the GWML, I only see First Great Western and they operate 166 DMU, the HST and the 180 so that is a familiar sight. That's why I tend to go spot somewhere a little more interesting, basically because electric is a lot more exciting than permanent diesel.

What's the difference between the 2 divisions of FirstGroup Trains seen here. Does FHT Haul Longer Distances than their Capital Connect Division Counterparts?

Hull Trains are 5 coach class 180's which run at 125mph down the mainline on long distance services to Hull. FCC electric multiple units on commuter services between Cambridge, Peterborough, Kings Lynn and London.

I'm very uninformed about rail service in the U.K. Here in the States, Nationally, we have only limited, but regular service from Amtrak, and it is definitely not anywhere close to being considered high-speed. Regionally, there are a number of specialty rail service providers. Over the 20th. Century, the use of the automobile, and air transportation has seen to that concept. I did notice, that externally electrical powered locomotives, along with, self contained, diesel power electric generated locomotives are used on the same rail lines. Your videos are wonderful; especially the offerings, while you are onboard; I.E., taking the ride with the rest of us..

That's quite a chirpy robo-announcer, I must say. Much more cheerful than the gloomy old soul FGW use.
