In this video we visit Stirling, a station on the Joondalup Line in Perth's inner northern suburbs. Situated in the middle of the Mitchell Freeway, Stirling serves as a major transport hub in the area and is home to a large bus interchange above the station serving 17 different bus routes. We start the video at the train station platforms where we see some Transperth B Series EMU's arrive and depart the station. Afterwards we head upstairs to the bus interchange where we see some buses. Being off-peak through most buses we see are Volvo B7RLE's or B8RLE's with Volgren 'Optimus' bodies, with a lone Mercedes Benz OC500NG making an appearance.
Stirling station opened on the 28th February 1993 (or maybe 21st March 1993 as Wikipedia gives two separate dates depending on which article you read) as part of the second batch of Joondalup Line stations to open, including Glendalough, Warick & Whitfords. Leederville, Edgewater and Joondalup opened earlier on the 20 December 1992.
