Brilliant collection, thank you. The class 91's look so smart in their original livery. They have never looked better.

Aye only the GNER was decent. Most of the privatisation liveries are woeful.

Fantastic footage from BR days - loved the video from start to finish. From the humble 108 to the brilliant 225's in their original INTERCITY livery. All looked fabulous. And some very interesting formations too. Short formed 91+mk4s+DVT, those 125 power cars with the BG hauled by the 47, and a double headed 91 too! Short steel trains are highly modellable, In fact the whole video offers great inspiration. What a real treat. Thanks so much Roy for sharing with us.....again.

Fantastic. Reminds me of when i visited Lincolnshire for the first time, the what was called the Whitham Vale line was looking rather down trodden back in those days, i am pleased to say, our railways have a brighter future now.

The brake van in the lay-by at Ancaster is still there although the lay-by is now isolated. You can see it clearly on Google Maps.

@@s125ish must getting on for between 59 and 71 years old if it was built by BR (depending on which diagram it was built to - the oldest design was to diagram 1/500 were built at Faverdale (the majority if all brake Van's were built here) in 1949, last were built to diagram 1/507 in 1962 at Ashford). Its not the only brake can quietly rotting away in a disconnected lay-by - there's an ex-SR brake van at Manea.

Some classic 90s nostalgia there, loved every minute of it. I guess the short-formed 91 was the one on the high speed record run? I was filming at Peterborough a lot in this era so am familiar with most of these workings myself.

I like how the steam era look was still largely intact on these rural lines then, it has a lot to do with the more sedate colors used on buildings and furniture then, the bright blues and yellows of today do a lot to spoil even the most authentic station building. As always a nice collection of workings, those 91 with their Mk4s and DVTs must have been totally fresh from the box alongside the electrification of the ECML to York. I remember a train travel from Hull to York on a Pacer in the early 1990s, once on the main line the IC225s flying past made an impression.

Some great footage there.Interesting to see how Sleaford has changed, I live about 5 mile away. Grantham too has changed, the layout is different ( I think) and I'm sure there is no longer a big camber on the curve there. Good to see the 20's and 37's, there looks like there was more freight on the rails back then. Cheers ......DA.

I hated them sprinters when they took over the class 120 DMUs and I hated sprinters even more when they started taking over loco hauled workings
