crazy, the lead singer of this band is a family friend of ours who i've known my whole life. had no idea he was part of such a good band, super cool that i'm lucky enough to know him.

Man that is hard one because there’s hundreds of bands in this category. Thing is, most people that get into the genre look into Ebullition and Gravity. Evergreen released a 7” on Gravity so it may not be that obscure. If it makes sense.

This is not the same singer from The Pine. However, The Pine were heavily influenced by Evergreen which is why they sound similar.
