If I have one observation on your presentations, it is IMMERSIVE. More than most, wherever you film, the gentle, lingering, even unhurried shots evoke an impression that you bring viewers your focussed and considered work. This video should stand as a testament to your care and attention. It celebrates what could be thought as a sad passing of time: the last time - for a while - that ‘Keith Park’ will run on this delightful preserved railway. But it captures a sunny Southern spring day, with all the verve and delight that deserves. For those who missed the event : it provides a monument to the moment. Thank you for your generosity, in sharing your skill and dedication.

Thank you very much for the kind words as always, Peter. It nice to hear that the filming and editing style that this channel has adopted goes appreciated.

You made it there in the end Matthew, well done!!!👍🏻 Was there a competition to see how many different head codes she could wear🤔 I'm sure you're in league with al the diesel drivers, you always seem to get them to stop right where you're standing so that we get that lovely spooling up eargasm as they get underway!!! Another 31, you're spoiling me, so underrated and rare for us gentle southern folk who never had the privilege - all that old electric stuff, we was robbed!!!!!! Still loving your gentle "mindful" moments and the close ups👍🏻👍🏻 All the best☺

Finally got back over, and worth it in the end. The crew certainly seemed to be enjoying themselves with the route codes, and I can't say I blame them - have fun while it's there to be had. Can't say I'm a huge fan of 31's, but I appreciate the effort that goes into keeping that one as a shining example of the class. Now now, to see a 71 'on the juice' would be a dream come true. Thanks, Bob! Glad you enjoyed it!

Beautifully filmed sequences of an outstanding loco sad to hear she’ll be out of traffic for a while. Enjoyed the 31 too. Slightly confused does the Spa Valley share part of it’s route with Network Rail?

Thanks very much! For a section between Groombridge and Eridge, the railway runs parallel to the national network, but at no point are they linked yet.

Lovely video, again, Matthew. Very enjoyable. Sad to read on a previous vid that your Panasonic V770 gave up the ghost. Can I ask what you have moved up to ? Obviously we and you are now benefiting from superior 4K output ! Thanks and best regards, Nigel.

Thank you, Nigel! It was inconvenient, but ultimately gave me the shove to upgrade, so silver linings etc. By all means you may. I'm now using a Panasonic HC-X1500E - a lot to get used to, but a great improvement so far. Cheers!

I heard that it's renamed as 303 Squadron in honour of the famous 303 Polish Squadron during the Battle of Britain.

@@andrewmontgomery5621 It has been, in a ceremony held today (1st of September 2024). It will hold the "303 Squadron" name for a year.
