The lockdown rules have been eased just enough that heritage railways around the UK can now mobilise to implement social distancing measures and other safety precautions, in order for them to re-open in at least some capacity. One such line, the Dartmouth Steam Railway welcomed the return of steam hauled services over their metals having taken, and actively enforced, such measures.
The railway fronted a revised single train service, operating six return trips between Paignton and Kingswear. As part of the safety precautions taken, services did not stop at any intermediate stations. Hauling a resplendent rake of umber & cream coaching stock, motive power was provided by GWR designed 'Manor' Class - 7827 "Lydham Manor", tackling the gradients of the English Riviera through the accompanying striking scenery - the preservation gods must've been smiling.
