About the interactive Thomas characters, I know there was a playset release with the movie The Great Discovery which was Wooden Railway. The set had Thomas and Stanley with gold couplers and a Sir Topham Hat that could talk in English and I think German as well.

The Interactive Wooden Railway had sets with spots on the track that caused the set to interact with the engine. The engines don't use batteries, though, and they can't interact with each other.

The interactive railway line, the battery is in the sets. You need to use the interactive eingnes they have a golden magnet If it is Thomas it'll say "hello thomas" (destinations) like cranky or knaford . Ur welcome

3:24 I have a red version of that tanker which came with the "Thomas and the Jet Engine" pack! This rarer blue version came with a yellow spotlight car and Harold! 4:01 I actually got two of those, since Percy always pulled more than one mail car! 4:47 I have that car, and you spin it one way to fill it, and tap the button to "unload" it! 5:22 that one came in a rare set with a rail barge! The face is a modified "Thomas Comes to Breakfast" face! 7:01 that was one of the first TWR items I ever got! Along with Thomas, Percy, James, Toby, Bartie, and the barrel car 8:04 yes! that's an interactive one! Try finding the wooden Morgan's Mine or Great Waterton station, which work with the interactive/talking railway engines! You just run them over the red part of the track while Sir Topham Hatt recognizes them by name from his doorway! 9:59 I managed to get him new in early 2010, the same day I got Charlie and the Dairy cars! 10:25 this metallic Percy was more common than the metallic Thomas, as this Percy same with a VHS/DVD! 13:04 I've seen versions of that James that don't include the beehive car! 13:32 that was one of the few take alongs I never got! 15:33 Proteus only appeared in two episodes! He's a legend, and doesn't exist in the same world as the rest of the characters! That's quite a neat collection! something could take months or even years to acquire, even when these items were new!
