Great video! A few additions about Basel SBB: - There are actually three tram lines crossing the border into Germany (Weil am Rhein, Line 8) and France (St-Louis, Line 3, which is not stopping at Basel SBB, and Leymen, Line 10) respectively, with plans to once again extend Line 6 (not stopping at SBB either) into Lörrach/D. - The underground "information room" serves as a lost and found (backed by a more or less Switzerland-wide public transport lost and found system which in my experience works like a charm) and as an optional baggage check-in/claim. - While the bicycle parking is definitely smaller than many of the amazing Dutch facilities, it looks in the video as if you might have overlooked the much bigger free bicycle parking space a bit further down the hall and to the right. However, the free space has been beyond capacity for decades now.

Thanks for another enjoyable video - I found the tours of the refurbished ICE set and of Basel station really interesting. Great tip on the French National Railway Museum btw - thanks - I have noted that for when I am next in the region.

Hi, I really enjoyed your video! I’m planning a day trip from Cologne to Amsterdam in April by train . What do I need to cross the border covid-wise? Thanks in advance!

Thank you Even though I wish I could give you information about travel rules and restrictions, unfortunately I can't help you with that. These rules are constantly changing because the general situation is changing. Please check the official information that governments do provide you.

Information for Germany is found on the website of the RKI, called "Einreiseanmeldung". There you can enter which destinations you visit and it will show you what you need to do to enter Germany. However, things can always change so be sure to check restrictions regularly. However, you will always need to take proof of vaccination or a negative covid test with you if you want to enter Germany.

How did you find this ticket? I am having trouble finding a direct one, everything seems to have at least 1 transfer.

This connection has been suspended since May 2024, now all trains will go to Frankfurt and from next year (2025) there will be one extended to Munich.

In English, Basel is pronounced as "Baaah-sel", not "Bay-sel".

@mstrmren

Absolutely terrible and childish editing while showing the video clips while travelling in the train. You seem to be more obsessed with syncing music and the video. Don't do that. Common sense.

@@Trainviking If I say a particular car design is bad, that doesn’t mean the manufacturer will ask me to manufacture my own cars. I’m not into making these videos. I come here for info through well made videos. Your editing is childish. Your choice to get your act right.
