East End Action at Kansas City Union Station
In the 1950's, the East End of Kansas City Union Station was one of the great railfanning hotspots in the Kansas City area.
Twelve major roads served the Station which provided for an endless parade of trains for railfans to enjoy.
The many road bridges spanning the tracks were great locations, but the best spot was on the retaining wall below Grand Blvd. From there, rail fans could position themselves eye level, within a few feet of the passing trains.
If only I had owned an 8mm movie camera!
Hope you enjoy East End Action at Kansas City Union Station as it was in the 1950's.
