Absolutely fantastic detail and realism. Can you explain your method for making smoother embankments?
@Sharadise Жыл бұрын
Usually I just use the Plateau Tool with a small brush setting to either drag out the terrain from the height of the tracks, or push in the terrain from about half the height of the embankment. You can also place temporary tracks/splines at a 90 degree angles to the track (so that one end of the spline is at track level, the other is at the base of where you want the embankment to meet ground level), and then set the terrain height to those splines. After that you can delete the temporary splines. If you wish to have embankments with a specific angle, you can use the gradient tool to give these temporary tracks that specific angle before setting the terrain height to them. If you're using the second method, it may be wise to shift-click place the tracks so that they do not connect to your actual tracks. Does that make sense?

Thank you for the video, it was very informative. What were the pin markers you used for the industries you laid out?

Thanks! Search for "Push Pin" on the DLS.

I have trouble finding the objects id like to place without tediously combing through object lists for what seems like hours. The list is huge and seemingly unorganized? Helpful videos!
@Sharadise2 жыл бұрын
Tediously combing through the list of objects to find what you want is pretty much unavoidable. Although, using filters can limit your results somewhat. You can also create multiple picklists for quick reference later (e.g. "Houses", "Trees", "Road Vehicles", etc...). For an explanation, see my tutorial on the matter: kzbin.info/www/bejne/m5C4pKOwh5KksMU Another way you can sometimes quickly find assets of a certain kind is by loading another author's route in the surveyor, and using the "Get" tools so see what assets they've used on their route (if you right-click any of the "Get" tools, you can directly save assets you click on in the world to the currently active picklist). Hope this helps somewhat.
