Traktor Remix Deck Tutorial: How to Remix Songs

Thanks for that! I found that video, and it's exactly what I was looking for. At one point he drags his loop from the loop recorder into a sample deck. If one could map that to a button, and send the loop to a Remix Deck, that could be insanely powerful for creating original music on the fly.

Hey guys. This post is one of my all time faves of yalls. And your midi fighter is on my wish list. And a machine micro and mini moog with vocoder. Back to reality. Can what you did be done with simply a f1 and an S4? Which i do i have and it seems like when i buy a something. Something newer and cooler comes out. So the lesson is its all about the artist and not the gear. And yet the question remains. Would love to hear or read your thoughts. Thanks again keep posting.

first i thought there will be more tips about the mapping it self, cause I wanted to do this the same way but using maschine istead of midi-fighter, but I find it hard to map all the stuff in new 2.5 version cause theres so many options. so I have a request - could djtechtools do a tutorial video or some article about mappings, please?

Yes, if you have Traktor and one of the Traktor sound interfaces (A10, A6 etc).

I'm trying to find a mapping for the Launchpad MKII to do this but I've had no luck. This is basically the only reason why I got the launchpad is to map it to both remix decks. All I can find it people mapping the launchpad to be a standard mixer for deck A and deck B

Could you record your jamming as a new loop (maybe on a sample deck or another remix deck)? I'm on the verge of switching to Traktor since the Remix Decks came along.

Hey Ean, got question about this mapping. Those effects you have mapped in, are they always on same buttons, like no way to rearrange it in presets? If so concept here is to load samples in determined slots related to some of effects so sample can sound good in combination.

Yeah dude just right click on the sample itself in the remix deck and select whether you want it one shot or loop!

Hi guys, I just have a quick question. Which one is the modifier in Traktor 2 Pro for the Remix Decks "Start Point" I took a look on all Control Manager/Add In ... possibilities and I couldnt find the Edit / Start Point option for mapping my S4. May I ask you which one is the command into the Remix Decks for the Start Point? You can do this using the mouse, but not with the Kontrol S4 or even better with the Kontrol F1. I will appreciate your help on this one. Thnx a bunch. Cheers!

The remix decks working is the same in all gears, you only need sample pads(And S4 has them)

well yeah, but its a pain in the *ss still, the best way would be to do it as novation automap works - just press the function/button/whatever in the software you wanna map, and then press the real button on the hw/midi u have and its set. now u have find out what all those names in the mapping means and theres so many of them...
