I went to one of his concerts in France 2 months ago, and this song was the last song they played... while he got up a message appeared on the white screen which said : "I feel heavy-hearted when I think about the pain of the world these two last years. But I am grateful to be with you, to find solace together thanks to music. I pray for everybody's health and happiness" - Joe Hisaishi I never cried so much while listening to Joe Hisaishi's music. This man is an angel from another world... he embodies kindness and humanity.

It’s unfortunate people forget about the pain of war and the peaceful days. Their greed overtakes them once again... Look at all the right wing rise again in japan and al over the world... (;_;)
I’ve bought this DVD and played this song hundreds of times. Every now and then I still get goose bumps when the piano begins.

No matter how hard life gets, no matter how much we want to just give up, we have to keep moving forward. I am blessed to have lived this life knowing the Studio Ghibli films, Hayao Miyazaki and of course, Joe Hisaishi. I have listened to this piece thousands of times and this live performance brought tears to my eyes. Just beautiful in every way. May there be peace in this world to those who are yearning to live. May we all survive and meet together once more as a family when this virus is finally removed from the world. Much love from here, to you, who is reading my message. Thank you.

I would say something like "play this at my wedding" but every time I listen to this song I snob uncontrollably. I can barely articulate why. it just reminds me how beautiful the world is and how thankful I am to have the people I love in my life. I'm not a fan of clichés but I hope one day I get to slow dance to this song with the love of my life whomever that may be.

The lyrics add so so so much meaning to the song and by association, the film. These and the lyrics they wrote for Mononoke's Theme are part of the full experience of the movie IMO, like the extended LOTR discs and commentary.
