Common problem. Off cycle allows liquid to accumulate in the discharge housing. Then it starts and explodes. Seen this a bunch in high ambient and low ambient temperatures. The other thing that will happen is it blows the 90 degree fitting apart. Hydraulic force is enormous!

No. It’s from migration. A heater on the line will help.

Our RTAC 155 comp 2 used to sound normal. A repair to the evap bundle was needed, after repairs has a rhythmic ticking sound. I have two vids demonstrating the noise. Would you be willing to listen to it.?

Yes I recover the refrigerant. And I charged nitrogen pressure 100 psi whole system

Friend I hope you are well I had a similar failure but the chiller turns on and alarms due to high oil temperature, I preceded removing the discharge service valve because it generates a loud noise. My question is it causes an obstruction in the system ..? why is it triggered by high oil temperature?

Please check the all condenser fan motors, and Run the circuit full load and check the oil Temperature. If compressor not going full load, check the solenoid valves on compressor, check the oil cooling system. ( few days ago I rectified same problem high oil Temperature. I found solenoid valve coil was defective)

How much will be aproch temperature condenser and evaporator temperature? What is the difference between aproch temperature , superheat and condenser subcool.

Approach Temperature will be 1 To 2 degree centigrade. Approach Temperature is leaving water Temperature minus saturation temperature(condenser or Evaporator) Suction superheat is suction temperature minus suction saturation temperature. Discharge super heat is discharge Temperature minus discharge saturation temperature. Subcooling is liquid line Temperature minus liquid line saturation temperature.
