Nice cooking there my friend! Love my Mini. Probably the most used stove the last years for me. Keep it up 💪🤠🔥

Very nice demonstration of the Trangia T28 system. We each (5 of us) carry one each when out and can cook and brew for at least 5 days (proper food not MRE's) on 1 Litre of 98% bio-ethanol (UK equivalent to the old Meths). We always use a windshield whatever the conditions and keep it within about 15 cm of the cookpot. There is a phenomena called 'Coanda effect' relating to the wall attachment of hot gas to a curved surface (obviously improves heat transfer) and the shape of Trangia pots and the 'OLD' style kettles lends itself to the phenomena providing the hot gas does not get dispersed - hence the close windshield. To further enhance the efficiency (and reduce fuel consumption) raise the windshield about 20cm above the ground to create a chimney effect. Sorry for the long comment, but we love our Trangias and like to pass on our experiences. Stay well, stay safe and thank you for sharing your time out. Very interesting comment. I have never heard of the Coanda Effect, but I've been using a T28 for many years and I've found that by using a close fitting windshield, and using the simmer ring to really reduce the flame to a minimum, I can get over 2 hours of simmering time (after an initial boil) on one filling of fuel. A Trangia used in this way can really challenge a gas stove for serious camp cooking. Allowing too much flame only results in heat being wasted into the air above the pot!

@@oldigger7060 So very true. If you Google the 'Coanda Effect' there is a lot of useful information. Thanks for the comment.

Hloupé kecy. Lepší je postavit nádobu přímo na hořák vařiče.

@@johoro2510 If you say so....but would suggest you try that approach - yo will find that the standard Trangia burner will immediately be snuffed. No doubt in your advanced knowledge you know better..

Greetings from a Brit expat now living in sunny Malaysia. Nice little video👍Had my Mini for about 2 years and it's a brilliant little setup for day hikes. I experienced the same issue with trying to use a smaller cup ( my Stanley cookset one) on the potstand. Got round it by getting one of the proprietary small round grill plates available online or at some hardware stores.I keep it in my bag whenever I take my Mini out now. Have subbed and look forward to following your adventures. You might want to check out the Firebox Nano as well; another neat little stove as it readily accepts small cups and big pots and you can use your Trangia burner in it as well as wood, charcoal and the Trangia or Firebox gas burner to make it a truly neat and compact stove. Cheers 👍😘

Thanks!! I do have a firebox in the collection, and I may just have to do a cooking video with it in the future.

The pot stand that comes with the mini is not good. It is better to use the the Trangia triangle instead.

Have you had any issues with that Listerine bottle leaking fuel?
