Kieslowski always strikes me as more than a director. He was like Milan Kundera with a camera set.😭

I sit in awe at times at the stuff he was able to put on a screen, also the emotions his work would bring out in me. One of the best ever.

I once taught a graduate seminar that paired Kundera and Kieslowski. It worked very well.

The trilogy is a great set of movies. What a loss that Kieslowski passed away so young.

Great interview, Kieslowski was so amazing. The Double Life Of Veronique, Decalogue, Blue and Red are just amazing movies.

KatalistProductions-Kozzy-Sasha...White easily had the best plot among the three colors..
@KatalistProductionsKozzySasha7 жыл бұрын
Fair enough, everyone is entitled to there opinions! White was enjoyable to me but nowhere near the best plot or the best executed imo. It was good but its not 10/10 classic to me personally like Blue and Red are.

@@KatalistProductionsKozzySasha white is amazing dude....see it again ...many reviewers didn't get it as far as i'm concerned . It's about equality...reversal of power/abuse dynamics. The end of white is clearer in the very end of red. 'Nuff said.
@KatalistProductionsKozzySasha4 жыл бұрын
@@bfhwhataboutthecavesdude6162 I have seen White over 10 times....It was good, just not a classic like Blue and Red imo. Again this is just my personal OPINION, not sure why my opinion bothers you lol.

1995, a punto cumplir 20 años y perdidamente enamorado...

The most beautiful woman - mesmerising and delicate. Kieślowski made a great choice
@mariacassab45247 жыл бұрын
I love her, so beautiful and talented. Not many actersses like her now. And WOW I would have said that the thing about the photo with the red backround was something that Kieslowski himself thought at the very beginning.

Irene Jacob is one of the best looking French actresses I've ever seen. She ranks alongside Juliette Binoche, Julie Delpy and Eva Green as the top 10 contemporary French actresses in this world (despite that, being French-speaking, Irene is actually from French-speaking Switzerland rather than from France itself). Her thick French-Swiss accent makes her a little hard to understand at times, but I still think it's great and natural.

I remember reading that Tarantino wanted her for Bruce Willis girlfriend in Pulp Fiction and as awesome as she is, I sort of can't really imagine how she would have done that role. But maybe that's a testament to how well Maria de Medeiros played it.

La double vie du Veronique and Bleu are 2 of my favourite films. I love Rouge too, but with less intensity I believe. Irene Jacob is also one of my fav actresses, with Juliette Binoche, Meryl Streep, Winona Ryder, Sophia Loren and Anna Karenina.

I considered the trilogy as the stories of the 6 survivors. So more like a retrospective kind of storytelling. It can even be that the judge, as someone enjoying spying on people, might have created the stories after the incident. Because to me, the judge represents Kieslowski himself. This is my personal interpretation though.

In Red, the old judge tells Valentine about the dream. But What's about 100 or 200 from now people will watch these movies and they would be the works of Art like Rambrant, etc.... Then people might asks who is girl Valentine as much as who is Mona Lisa. I have same feeling that I have no right when I attempts to make my own documentary but it is feeling that she describes that hold me now to continue. But, nice to know that yea there is another way.
