when I saw this pic I thought there got be some backstory about this, so I dig around and found it! He is a character from a webgame called [Sword 3]. There are 12 sectors in this pugilistic world. He is one from the 'Flower Valley' sect, when he was a young pupil he wanted to be the best fighter in the world; the flute was his chosen weapon, it was named "Descending Phoenix". but he was an exceptionally gifted child so the teacher ask him to quit his dream and become a doctor instead. of course he refused...until one day he followed teacher to a battlefield, saw all the wounded soldiers laid there crying for help; a gravely wounded young female soldier grabbed his hand, but he stood there helplessly until a doctor took over. That scene sealed in his mind, so he quit the martial art practice become a medical student.10 years passed, he become a brilliant doctor and a very handsome young man. A lot of girls fall for him, but he stay away; there is only one in his mind; the female soldier he met on the battlefield. He become an army doctor so he can be near her and save her...although they loved each other deeply; but as an army commander, her duty was Country first. They spent very little quality time together, but when they do, they were at each other like a wild fire...they knew there might not be next time...Their personal love never waived their sense of duty to their Country and the People they defend. Her body sustained so many injuries during the war, she can't have her own children. They adopted 2 war orphans, and they survived the war in the end. This is a rare happy ending for those people who live through war torn eras.
