When my sibling transitioned in the 1990s she had to go through two years of therapy and then one year of living as a female before hormones and surgery was even an option. It is concerning now how doctors will prescribe or refer a person after one visit.

@Lloyd-Franklin 7 years ago my therapist didn't offer or push me into it. After about 7 months I asked about the possibility of starting HRT. She replied she wondered when I was going to ask. When I countered with when she would have referred me to the endocrinologist she said after my second session. It was 4 years later before I was ready to go on toward anything surgical. As much as I felt it was right, I wanted more to KNOW it was right for me each step of the way and I sure wasn't going to let anyone tell me what to do. I wouldn't change a thing about my journey.

So many years of being a trans man. And it was all for nothing. Something in me clicked this year. Out of nowhere. It made me feel that I was living a lie. That being a man is wasn’t for me. And I just knew that this madness, this craze, was all it. It was nothing. I was tricked, I was lied to. It was all for nothing. They told me this was the cure to my unhappiness. But it wasn’t. Proper therapy was. And now I see my truth.

It's important that detransition voices are heard- especially for those at the beginning of their transition journey so that a person considering transition can hear both sides of the story before going forward with medical interventions that are difficult or impossible to reverse. My only point of contention with many of the detransition stories I've heard is that no one is mentioning the doctor shopping that goes on when they might have been refused transition interventions and went doctor shopping until they found a doctor who provided the treatment they sought... and how they accused doctors of being transphobic for not providing the treatment they sought.

Any link? I never heard of such a story so far, but I'm surprised and interested, because usually, in blue states, doctors cannot deny transition unless they accept being smeared with accusations of transphobia. And many gender clinics are easy to find and too happy to welcome potential clients.

I made sure to watch a lot of detransitioner videos to make sure I was getting a balanced perspective on things and wasn't just listening to an affirming echo chamber before deciding to go ahead. I felt it was important that I be very certain that I wasn't doing things for the wrong reasons, and what the mental traps were to look out for. My gender dysphoria was never very strong, and was intermittent, but it just wouldn't go away. It was like "pressure like a drip drip drip that'll never stop..." Been on hormones for 7 months now, and I've been feeling great mentally and physically. Some initial panics that made me take a step back and be REALLY sure about going forwards, but every step forwards feels good. Taking things slow and not rushing into things or demanding pronouns before I can even be _close_ to passing.

My daughter decided at 12 that she was a boy… we talked thru it and got her some other non family members to talk to her and persuaded her to wait until at least 18 to do anything drastic. She is now a fairly well adjusted girl (17) that has decided that she likes being a girl and that other issues were getting in the way of her mental health. So grateful that we were able to be rational and work through issues that really weren’t about her gender 🙏

Somehow I got on this video really early so I must leave a comment in my opininon. I struggle with my mental health and what I think is gender dysphoria included but I can't claim cause im not a doctor. In my country transition banned completely for everyone and also coming out as LGBT is a bit risky for your future and job. So I needed to figure things out my own way and sometimes im feeling really done with everything because i'm not even legally adult why the f I need to know so much by myself and analyse by myself to not do mistakes? Your channel helped me out to look on things from different perspective and opened my eyes on whole ideology. It felt really like I opened my eyes on their lies. I'm trying to both remember what reality is and think about possibilitys of what I need to do if all things goes certain way. I just want to prevent really bad things. I don't want to regret. Sorry I started crying while typing. Thank you for you work Marcus

I believe you. I can't say I know much about your situation, but you need help. Have you discussed your mental issues with any adult you feel comfortable talking to? I can only imagine how terrified you must be but having even one other person on your side makes the struggle infinitely easier. If you have to, write it down what's upsetting you on a piece of paper and safely burn it afterwards or make it into a paper aeroplane and throw it to the wind. Get a penpal from another country, even. That way it's less likely to come back around to you if you don't think you can trust anyone. As for your gender dysphoria, it can 100% be that but there can also be other factors. My one recommendation is you don't give up. Even at the lowest of lows, keep yourself alive. There is a light at the end of the tunnel. There's someone that will miss you when you're gone, someone that wants to help you but you can't realise it. And before you know it, you'll either find a way to cope or you'll know for certain that it's dysphoria.

Call it what it is: Detransphobia. Unlike the meaningless slur they hurl at us, they are actually being irrational by the very existence of these people. We say we don’t want 50% of the population sharing the same private spaces as the other 50% because we don’t know who is a predator. That’s not an attack on these specific individuals or this very small community but because they are self centered, they act like it and that’s all their slur really refers to. But Detransphobia is real as they are the slap of truth they don’t want to believe in, that destroys their fragile belief.

I don't believe I shouldn't have been allowed to transition when I did. I have other mental health issues I wasn't aware of back then and only now coming to terms with 10 years after transition. Luckily I don't regret my transition but at the same time I was pushed into believing that I know what medical treatment was best for me and pushed into surgery before I was ready which I had complications from and has probably given me some PTSD. I am completely disgusted with the trans medical system and it was bad a decade ago but now its absolutely crazy what we are doing to people now! I regret how quickly I jumped into starting HRT and wish the medical system addressed my underling neurodivergence and anxiety issues. I would have had a better transition if I had addressed those issues first or maybe I could have even found a way to not transition but its too late now.

I often wonder if medicalization is the way mental health professionals are now disposing of 'difficult' patients. I know dysphoria was already difficult enough to treat, so now, if a patient is showing signs/symptoms of multiple other disorders/conditions as well, I seriously worry these professionals are choosing to go with trans treatment first just to make it easier on them (the professional). Basically, 'Ugh, this one's too complex. Lets send them off to the trans factory & hope they don't come back.' Many years ago I was diagnosed w/ BPD- but also MDD, ptsd, anxiety & OCD. Luckily the BPD & MDD have been treated & well under control for years but the OCD/anxiety has only gotten worse. I can't get anyone to treat it because once they piece it together I have BPD (I try to hide that), they refuse to treat me for anything separate I might want therapy for & tell me I have too many past issues- even tho I saw a psychiatrist for 10 yrs already, etc.. They clearly just don't want to deal with BPD. So I wonder if a similar thing is happening to trans people, dysphoric or not. That maybe professionals do realize the person has other diagnosable conditions, they feel it's all too complex for them & they choose to single out the gender issues just because that's an 'easy' fix right now?

If there is anyone curious, here is how to get saved and be right with God who loves us for eternal life! As anyone can get saved, if they make the choice to do so! 1-Realize that all of us have sinned before God in one way or another. Romans 3: 10-12+23 (KJB) 10. "As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:" 11."There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God." 12."They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one." 23. “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.” 2-Realize that God still loved us enough, to allow Jesus Christ to shed his blood on the cross to pay the price for our sins Romans 5: 8-9+12 (KJB) 8. “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." 9."Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him." 12. “Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for all that have sinned:” 3 -To be saved, you just need to confess unto God and ask him to save you, by accepting Jesus Christ paying the price for your sins, all in order to receive this freely given gift of forgiveness. 1 Corinthians 15: 1-4 (KJB) 1."Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; 2."By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.” 3."For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;” 4."And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:” Romans 10: 9-10+13 (KJB) 9. “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.” 10."For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation." 13."For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." 4. Otherwise you will have to pay the wages for any/all of your sins, on your own, which is to face Gods eternal judgment, of burning forever in hell, to not be able to sin before God ever again. Hebrews 9: 27-28 (KJB) 27."And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:" 28."So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation.” Revelation 21: 8 (KJB) "But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.” Romans 6: 23 (KJB) “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” (Lastly, an example of what to genuinely say to God in prayer to get saved and fully forgiven of all your sins.) “Dear God, I am a sinner and need saving. I know I’m not good enough to get to heaven and I need you to save me. I need the righteousness of your son, Jesus Christ. I believe that Jesus is the Lord, who died, was buried and resurrected so that his precious blood can wash away my sins. I trust in him alone to save me. Nothing else. Not my good works or anything else. Only Jesus. I pray this in Jesus’ name, Amen.”

Nah, I totally disagree. The drug abuser who defrauds the doctor and the pharmacy and the tax funded health system cannot claim to be the victim of a system when their own fraudulent actions is the cause of the harm. The problem arises when the drug abuser to diagnose their own condition. You can blame the activists for that. The lawyers prefer to blame the party that they can sue for money, even if that party is not to blame. If you keep on this path, that just makes you into an activist. And I mean that in the worst interpretation possible. You're helping no one, defending the indefensible and shielding the culprits and shifting the accountability and damaging the greater good.

Drug abuse? They were literally converted into the opposite of their biological sex because their parents believed by the doctrine that if boys like something feminine, they must be girls and vice versa or those who are so captured by T community, as soon as their baby born, they treat their baby as the opposite of their biological sex and even transitioned them before they can consent as young as 4! How did you call them drug abuser when they were given HRT and surgery before they can consent because they were still so young and influenced by their environment, parents, and doctors?

It isn't fraudulent on the part of the patient to seek "treatment" when they genuinely believe they are trans, even if they are actually confused or mentally ill. While I'm not sure most medical professionals or insurances can be reasonably sued, it is a larger part of the medical system that they were pressured by activists to push poorly-studied "treatment". Someone needs to be responsible to "catch" patients who would be unsuited to transition.
