Yeah and? The amount of botched surgeries out there is insane. Not to mention the number of people getting bottom surgery when they don't even have gender disphoria. Don't get me wrong, I absolutely support that adults should be able to do what they want, but there need to be speed bumps along the way to slow down the process and catch those that have other metal disorders that were brain washed into thinking transitioning will solve all yheir problems.

as a tranny, u r 100% right. I will forever remain one. I got bottom surgery 2 years ago and now im getting the penile implant. with that being the last surgery for phalloplasty journey i have to get the implant replaced every 5-10 years. Meaning more chances of getting a complication. Im terrified ngl but i trust my doctors. @ Dear Freddy, I’m so glad you have found doctors you can trust for your surgery and especially, for your aftercare. Unfortunately, I have read of some patients whose aftercare consisted of multiple trips to the ER, a space not really designed for the type of care needed. I would recommend to anyone who is contemplating this type of complex surgery- be sure to find a doctor who is interested in your care and who will be responsive to your needs. Do this BEFORE the surgery, give yourself the ability to achieve the best possible outcome. The aftercare can be prolonged and deserves the same attention as the decision to have surgery. I wish you joy, Freddy, and a happy, healthy, life!

Sure is. And those of us who have been saying this from the beginning have been labeled all kinds of hateful names. When in reality, if we were ANY of those things, we wouldn’t have ever cared at all because we would WANT these people to end up hurt and irreversibly harmed. It has been absolutely maddening for those of us that DO care and see it for what it actually is; which is using these people’s issues for a money grab and political tool.

I completely support real transsexuals exposing this madness , HOWEVER this is exactly why I don't like it when they say "If you are an adult I don't care what you do" because not all adults are capable of knowing what's best for them or even what the hell is going on with them. They too can be misled, not just the kids. They too can be autistic. Lonely. Desperate. Having mental issues. I have seen a couple of videos of trans individuals (detransitioners mostly) who were in their mid 20's or even 30's when they did the surgeries (top or bottom or both) and still regretted it because nobody took care of their mental health first! Thanks for everything you do, Marcus. Greetings from Croatia.

Medicine is becoming the Wild West with people being able to get drugs online without even seeing a doctor face to face. We commonly see this with hormones, ozempic, ADHD/depression/anxiety medicine, Ketamine therapy and topical drugs. And people are more educated about these drugs with the internet. Now it’s more common than ever to walk into a doctors office and tell them the medicine you want or basically just text them with an app on your phone. And now many doctors are being taught in this medical system that they should be constantly affirming trans people

good for you. i see this in a lot of girls in the LGBTQIA+ community, and they don't realize it's not abnormal for women not to feel right in their bodies even up to college and post college. i was super happy for my bff when she finally decided to accept her body more post-college. well, not that she was trans or nb, but she felt more at ease with her womanhood. we're both LGBT. And typically I don't add the QIA+ to the acronym, not trying to be mean but because i follow the gender binary system. i always expressed that she shouldn't need to punish her body by binding her chest or wearing baggy pants. but i also see this among my everstr8 gal pals. one of my friends went to an all girls school k-12, but even with so much female reinforcement growing up, she didn't feel comfy in her own body either, until college.

I’m glad you decided to accept yourself. I find it frustratingly sad how much of their time, emotional energy, and resources young people are directing at deciding what they “identify” as . . .ie: pretending to be, rather than at doing the things that are productive, building skills, relationships, and doing what twill bring them happiness prosperity and success in life. I read a comment by a young woman saying how much less anxious and depressed she was once she realized she was a woman, after spending the previous 4 years agonizing over wether or not she was non-binary, bi, straight, lesbian, trans, or whatever, and spending her time as an activist (whatever that is, a busybody or a bully or a preacher). What a waste of her time and energy. It reminds me of the young woman college student wearing a baggy grey sweatshirt yelling at the lecturer over and over “I am not a woman”. yet she is still, and will always be, a woman. If you are something, that’s what you are, it’s not an identity you adopt. And no one is assigned a sex at birth, what a ridiculous concept. And . . . Wearing pants doesn’t make you a boy, just like wearing a dress doesn’t make you a girl. A tree is a tree even if someone wants to manipulate the English language and call it a table. Sex is determined at conception and observed and described at birth (or during a prenatal ultrasound) using the words boy or girl (if communicating in English). I have helped babies be born for 15 years, and every one has been either a boy or a girl. And all amazingly different in their individual appearance and personality. Vive la difference !!!

If someone STILL doesn't understand what they're about to permanently do to their body & mind via a brutal and unnecessary surgery like this, then the doctors who've agreed to operate need to be the focus of a serious investigation into their ethics. If the patient STILL doesn't understand it's a serious issue if surgery goes ahead. They're of sound mind but they're ideologically captured and no longer thinking well.

I still remember the 17 year old boy who got bottom surgery as part of that National Geographic special on gender a few years ago. It was so disturbing. The surgeon who did the surgery was also transgender. Somehow I feel that this young man did not get a truly impartial assessment into his mental health and why he wanted to get such a drastic permanent surgery done. Also with this case, I recall he was only 1 year into identifying as trans, and he had an identical twin brother. Interestingly, there was a similar case with a well-known young transwoman (now actor) in Australia. Also, one of identical twin boys. It makes you wonder if they just wanted to be seen as different or individual to their parents in some way, and this was the way in which they did it. Very sad.

As a retired therapist, it’s truly heartbreaking to see so many people who are given surgery after one mental health evaluation. Years ago, it was done the right way. Years of therapy then social transition then hormones, etc. Done step by step over many years so that true issues were screened out. And there were very few people who actually ended up at the end of the process. This period of time will be looked back on as barbaric, just like we look back on when they did lobotomies.

That’s true. Some countries require to have surgery done to change the id. From what I heard from my activist friends: In china, you need a diagnosis from the doctor for "Gender identity disorder” and a proof of surgery from the clinic to legally change your sex on the id. And even a diagnosis like that is extremely hard to get, most of the time the doctors just try to talk you out of it or even send you to conversion therapy. There are some trans rights associations in China that published a list of trans-friendly psychiatrist for people to get “diagnosed” without getting sent to conversion camp. Unfortunately many people choose to cheap out by going to Thailand for gender affirming surgery (many trans people were marginalized and in a very bad financial position). If you cheaped out on such important things, you could imagine the quality of the surgery might not be so great.

No one should be afraid of that. Saying that mammals can't change sex is not transphobic, it's simply true. Let those whom it offends and angers scream transphobe at the tops of their lungs using megaphones. Behold my garden where no f*cks grow. I've got an (ex) best friend of 34 years who was so outraged when I raised the exact same kinds of concerns, and criticisms as does Marcus, that he called me out publicly as a transphobe, unkind, an ultra conservative, and best of all, a homophobe (ps I'm gay, and so is he). He then unfriended and blocked me. We were once roommates and i travelled to the other side of the continent to see him for a week before the pandemic because he's dieing. Nonetheless, simply saying trans women aren't women was enought for him to end 34 years of friendship, literally, overnight. So, being called transphobe doesn't bother me one tiny bit. I'm not the problem. Peope like him who've joined the trans cult and drunk the kool-aid are the problem. I've zero f*cks to give for their cries of transphobe. Let 'em cry. I'm totally fed up with their crap.

It’s definitely a tough situation and I’m not against transition I’ve been taking hormones for over 8 years and I’m definitely happier being seen as a “woman” even though I am still male and that will never change. As for your kid if they’re under 18 you can definitely get involved as far as therapy and medical treatment. If your kid is over 18 all you can really do is encourage therapy. I think if you’re feeling suicidal then there is more than just the trans issue going on and mental health needs to be addressed before hormones. Transitioning is mentally taxing as well as you’re messing with your hormones and that’s going to affect your mood as well. Even if you’re in a great frame of mind I think everyone going through transition needs therapy and ideally not a gender affirming therapist. I unfortunately had affirming therapist and doctors and while I’m happy with my choice to transition i was still left with other mental health issues that I never dealt with or was over addressed in therapy and basically was old the idea that transitioning would solve my mental health issues and it did health with Gender Dysphoria but my general anxiety disorder and undiagnosed ADHD was never addressed at that time and it should have been picked up on.

I absolutely love you and your videos! You are so honest about what a true transgender person is, and who you are as well. A few years ago, I understood a transgender person to want to blend in with the opposite sex and not draw attention to themselves. But now, it seems like it's all about the piercings, tattoos, rainbow hair, and over the top make-up and clothes. In all honesty, I don't believe that they want to be a transgender that blends in with the opposite sex. I believe that they are using it as an excuse to stir the pot and then play the victim when they feel they have been wronged! I worked at a pharmacy and several transgender patients were absolutely amazing people, but the majority came to the counter with a chop on their shoulder. If there was the slightest issue, insurance, refill request, information update, it was taken as a personal affront at that point I would be told that I was transphobic and that I would be on Facebook for everyone to see because they were recording. Im sorry that I have been rambling on, but it honestly hurts my feelings when people say such things because I would like to think of myself as a very accepting person. Anyway, thank you so much for posting your videos! Much love!

She no longer lives here but she will always have my respect and admiration.

Heres a solution- Have either the Dr, or the hospital cover the cost of reassignment surgery for those who qualify. Then sit back and see how many qualify for it. I predict the numbers drop astronomically.

I had to go threw 3 years of therapy before I was even given blockers and hormones. I needed the surgery personally but I never forget where I came from. I also studied the reality of the surgery before under going the procedure.

i am 100% glad you got the proper process. so many young people just get rushed doctor to doctor without the checks to make sure everything is proceeding properly these days. even less actually study what will actually happen to their bodies in trans treatment so you did good ^_^

There are people that want their leg/arm removed and that lady that thought she should be blind. If we've gotten to this point why aren't they doing those surgeries? Oh yeah, because it's unethical! 🤡🌎

im glad that same sex hormone therapy (my testosterone was very very low with some incomplete puberty issues) and working through mental issues has eased my gender dysphoria over time. i will always have a minor amount of dysphoria but its better than ending up like these poor poor people. the surgical complications are nightmarish and what largely made me work towards being less dysphoric.

It just seems that our medical system is creating life long medical patients. How is having dangerous, life-altering surgery going to help gender questioning patients if they have the possibility of developing serious physical complications? What if they lose sexual sensation? How frustrating and young people don't realize how much they are risking. Love your videos, Marcus!

I honestly think that no one should be receiving bottom surgery, trans or not... The technology and advancement in medicine just isn't there, at least currently. There's far too many complications and it doesn't even come close to being what it's advertised as. Not to mention how incredibly painful it is to go through and how long of a recovery period that greatly interferes with your daily life, as well as the high risk associated with a surgery like that, it's just not worth putting yourself through all of that especially when you consider that the majority of these procedures end up as a failure even after multiple revisions to try and fix it, which only prolongs the pain and suffering all to end up botched and nonfunctioning. Honestly, Doctors shouldn't even be allowed to offer this to people... Literally anything else that had that high of a failure rate with such serious consequences to your body's vital functions would never be approved. And as if that wasn't bad enough, we allow this to be done to Children who can't possibly begin to understand the ramifications of such a consequential decision and give their informed consent. Heck, the way in which the Medical Community presents it to the public, not even the adults are truly able to give consent because the whole thing is incredibly dishonest and gives unrealistic expectations. It's unfortunately only after these people run into the serious complications that they start to understand the full weight of their decision and at that point a lot of Doctors will abandon them, leaving them broken, sick, or worse. Mark my words, this will be the largest medical scandal in history when the truth comes out about trans "healthcare". Sadly, by then the damage will already be done and so many countless lives will be ruined.

Since I found your channel and learned about your transition, I couldn't help but wonder how not having the bottom surgery impacted your gender dysphoria. I didn't like to ask because it seemed too personal and private a matter. So I'm glad you've addressed it in this video and my unasked question has been answered. Thank you for your openness and honesty

To me there is a big issue of consent here. To be classified as “able to consent” someone should be “mentally sound” but if someone is requesting amputation and mutilation of their body, is that mentally sound?

I believe one day in the future we will have the books opened on this psychological operation done to the American people that convinced so many of our vulnerable citizens to sterilize themselves (even children) and allow for unethical human experimentation. I'm so grateful it is now okay to speak up about it because even just a short few years ago people were losing their jobs for voicing an opinion. To be concerned about others wellbeing is not transphobic.

You have such a gentle yet common sense way of explaining things. As I understand from my research, the surgically made vagina will always have to be dilated because the body recognizes it as a "wound," and will perpetually try to heal it. You are right. Thank you. I am a straight female, just furthering my education.

I just looked up what vaginoplasty is and holy freaking smokes… I’m someone who isn’t squeamish in the *slightest* but what I saw was incredibly grotesque body horror. Sorry to say but it made me nauseous (it didn’t help that I was eating as well). How could you NOT do your research before undergoing such a procedure? My biggest question though is WHERE DO THEY GET THE MONEY FOR IT? If it’s free then these surgeons are definitely using them as guinea pigs
