‘Sun drenched, windswept, Ingrid Bergman kiss’ such a gorgeous lyric

I used to work with a lad who was severely autistic. He had a DVD of the beautiful south videos. Within weeks of working with him I knew the words to all the songs. I left the job 7 years ago but For the past weeks the songs have been popping into my head.

This was actually the first Beautiful South song I had heard through it being on one of my NOW albums in 1994. I was about 5 years old at the time but had no idea thatJacqui Abbott wasn't the original female vocalist. A year later my Mum bought the first 3 Beautiful South albums in 1995 and I was surprised to learn that Briana Corrigan was the first female vocalist. My friend's Mum was also a raving Beautiful South fan.
@carolmullen4218 Жыл бұрын
Yeah Brianba Corrigan then Alison Wheeler then Jacqui Abbot and as no ones what's happening with Jacqui he has Rhianne Downey just now on tour. I have seen Beautiful South live with Brianna, Alison and Jacqui. In my opinion Jacqui is number 1 and complements Paul's voice. I love his writing style

Jacqui is a legend with such a beautiful voice. Paul's voice is very similar to my own I think he's vocal reach is amazing. I used to sing these at the top of my lungs to all my kids. Now I'm sick my voice is going and it makes me sad. I love this band I love the house Martins it's just great music and in today's generation very underrated 🎼❤❤

This was filmed near Merstham in Surrey, right? It shows Spring Bottom Lane (which is a road near Merstham) It shows a bridge over a motorway, with a slope after it, which looks very much like Warwick Wold Road, which is at the end of Spring Bottom Lane (the other end, being Whitehill Lane between Caterham and Bletchingley. I can't work out where the White Hart/Beefeater was. Unless it's what is now "The Inn on the Pond" in the Nutfield Marsh area?
