Watching him struggle through that 12-string part and then pull it off so beautifully made me want to weep with joy.

I'm such a fucking sap. But seeing Dev have this much faith in the people he has chosen to surround himself with, to allow them to become a part of his art, which is so much a part of his personal identity, is one of the most beautiful things i've ever seen. I'm literally tearing up over here.

As a guitar player, it' makes me feel better to see that even the pros will struggle and get really frustrated when recording guitar parts...and then the feeling of finally nailing a section that's been giving you trouble, makes it all worth while.

It's nice to get to see some of your personalities when not on tour and tired and what not during interviews. You seem like a bunch of awesome people to be around with. The documentary is edited in an honest and open way without wanting to be seen as more than you are. In the end you're just normal people with jobs on the side having fun. Also I love the reactions of the band members watching the same docu as if you were watching it with them. Cheers

Pretty sure that certain JP regularly messes around with and writes with 12 string guitars though, so he has more experience. Not sure how often Dave decides to just pull out a 12 string and noodle around for shits and giggles.

"Dave is left handed", strange that is plays Guitar "right handed" just like Joe Perry!
@filthypigdaddy8 жыл бұрын
It's not uncommon for left handed guitarists to play the traditional right handed way. Which you prefer depends on how you initially learned to play the instrument rather than your handedness
@chrisbeaudoin37098 жыл бұрын
Exactly, when I started playing guitar for all I could've known you play with your left hand picking. Just matters how you learned it from the beginning.

Holy crap! . . . You NEVER know who some punk will mess with. I've always wanted to take Krav Maga, (took Shotokan Karate from 11 to 14 years old, which in a sense is much more tame) because the world is getting a bit more dangerous and people tend to gang up instead of fighting one on one. The 12 string piece is so beautiful :). Just add's another dimension to DTP and its members . . . and "discipline". With respect Dave, I bow.
