Moving the door was exactly what I am thinking of doing. Like 100% exactly how I saw it in my head.

This is definitely the best "Roof Raise" I've seen. The transition in the front looks so smooth and professionally done.

WOW, I Loooove moving the entry back so you can have a copilot chair, and bonus storage. If you're going to do the work of the roof raise, why not maximize the gains you'll get from it.

I love this layout with blocking the front door and adding another, seems more useful when you have a second person riding with you. Good job.

I think this is the best design so far. I Like the window on top better than completely covered but, there is less maintenance this way. The new door with the front door being used as storage was a great idea. Being able to add the front seat was also a great idea. I have to agree that the drip edge should have been removed but it's his bus and if he's happy, that's all that count. Is he adding any side windows?

This is the best Skoolie upgrade I’ve seen. I would want one like this. Love the mid door allowing for a true navigator sheet like a Prevost. I hope you continue this series through completion. As for audio on your vids (I am an audio guy, 44 years experience). Record audio using a lav mic into a digital recorder. Sync the audio with your lips (Use poor man’s clapper by clapping your hands loudly on camera and the digital recorders). Your audio will be pristine. A good example of this is Traveling Robert KZbin Channel. Your intelligent word demands intelligible audio. Thanks your your channel. Loved your posts on Jim Joy channel too.

Great job. The transition looks fantastic. How long did the roof raise take you? The camera works perfectly. GoPros have extremely wide angle lenses (no focusing needed) that distort facial features when you're up close. A good portrait lens is a mild telephoto. Much more flattering. I'm envious. It would be wonderful to travel around helping others. Wish I could be at the van build in the desert right now. Safe travels to you.

Found your channel off of the Nomadic Movement. I love your build outs! I sold my massive home a few years back and bought a massive 5th wheel in hopes of traveling full time after climbing the corporate ladder. That and the way the world is heading, bugging out is the best plan. Take your home with you. Needless to say, if I had it to do over again, I would go with what you're doing. May still if I ever get time to sell the 5th wheel. Quick Question: Can you make it fully off grid?

We’re on the road for the winter in the west. I’m a muffler guy and welder, been bending pipe since 1971 I’ve built a few hot rode and restored a bunch of boats. would love to be involved with one of your projects will work for food my wife will cook for us you won’t be disappointed. I didn’t bring my welder this year but have lots of other tools with me, we travel in a 1996 safari trek 2830 remodeled with a radiant heat floor and many other mods and a 1996 geo tracker tow vehicle
