I saw you live with Jeff Beck at NY state fair quite a few years ago. The song What Mama Said was all about your tapping section for me. I think Jeff hired you so he wouldn't have to learn that among all the obvious stuff of course. I am trying to figure out how to set the pause time at the beginning of loop play. there is a keyboard command called PlaySelectionDelayStart and it is related to that NEVER MIND I found it in the preferences Playback menu.going to leave this on here incase anyone else could benefit.

Jennifer, I loved your tutorial. There’s much to be learnt and I’m still threading the first steps, however, I wonder if it’s possible to make the piano setting at the bottom to show only from C2 to C4 instead of going indefinitely to C infinite. And how can I make the notes appear on the keys? I read the tutorial but found it confusing and not straight forward.

Great tutorial. How do i get to individual tracks on an album? I have an album and am trying to learn blues harmonica licks off it but i can't play anything but the first track!

What format is your music in from the album? Did you rip a CD and you're not seeing individual tracks? Is it in iTunes and maybe stored n the cloud?

Thanks for replying Jennifer. It's from a video but just the audio part so it's like an MP3 I think. I can get to the track which is four or five tracks from the beginning if I use the FF button but that takes time and I thought there had to be a quicker way.

Gary Sellars There are two things you can do. Either pull the entire file into a DAW like garage band or something, and then cut up each track to be a single file. Export each song, or you can pull the entire file into transcribe and scroll to the tunes you want. When you get to a song you can hit M on the keyboard to mark where the song begins. If you double click the mark you can then give it a name. That makes it easy to navigate. You could also loop the song that you want by click and drag, and then click into the miscellaneous tab and save that loop by clicking a blank rectangle and then holding shift and click at the same time. Then, whenever you hit that rectangle in the future it will loop your song

What about if you want to isolate a Piano Track say from The Beatles Song Sexy Sadie does this software allow you to Isolate a Piano Track as sometimes its difficult to hear a piano track which is smothered by other instruments.

Sorry just read this. If you haven't figured it out I imagine your track is in the cloud. You have to download it so it actually resides in your computer before dragging it into the window

once i was able to get beyond the (for me) extremely grating and annoying intro, the crux of this lesson was well worth enduring it. i learned a lot of keyboard shortcuts from you, plus many undocumented features. in fact i think most of what you revealed here is undocumented. i've had the program for years and never knew some of these tricks existed. thank you kindly. btw, i watched a handful of Transcribe! training-type videos on KZbin. not to criticize anyone else but yours is by far the most useful, information-packed, intuitive & interactive tutorial i found. your teaching style jives with my info-retrieval and -retention tendencies, even though we play different instruments.

It depends on the source. You can burn CD's onto your laptop and drag a file into Transcribe. You can use a program like KZbinstudio downloader and choose export audio only from any KZbin video. You can drag files from iTunes into the Transcribe window

Yes. Download a video to your computer and then just drag it into the audio window. You’ll end up with a video window and audio window. When you make an audio loop it will also loop the video.

+melamore94 No. That would be really hard as they're usually panned all across the stereo spectrum. The best you could do is mess with the EQ to try and drop the kick and hi hat frequencies

I find several iterations of gstream g-stream, gstream media etc. Can u send a link to ur software? Also make sure u have an actual video file downloaded onto ur desktop to drag into Transcribe window. mp4 should work. I use KZbin downloader from iSky company.
