Awesome illustration! One mistake- the "anticodon" on tRNA was labelled as a codon. Strange, because you verbally stated that codons are on mRNA & anticodons are on tRNA. Anyhow, this really cleared up my understanding of transcription & translation. Thank you!

You explained Protein Synthesis in a extremely neat and clear manner, which is all I was looking for in a video. I like how you took your time in explaining the whole process and also created extremely helpful visuals about on the topic (since I am very visual-minded). I am currently a 1st year university and forgot about all about Protein Synthesis from high school, so this video was a HUGE help to review for it. THANK YOU SO MUCH!

This is so great! Just one note worth mentioning: the peptide chain builds on the A site- attaching to the newly entered aa there-- and then passes to the P site when all the tRNA move to the left so that the one in the E site can go. Thanks for making this! Great job!
@siribrown96908 жыл бұрын
That was fabulous. There were some details left out that my teacher required: --Spliceosomes, which remove the introns from the preRNA, are made from SNRNA (small nuclear RNA). The amino acid chain forms a polypeptide, which then folds into a protein. Important to know that it doesn't come out of the ribosome as a protein. Also, she requires the description of the promoter sequence of a gene, such as the TATA box, which is 25-35 base pairs before the transcription start site of a gene. (You use the template strand of DNA as a template, to get a copy of the other strand, with the TATA box.) I would also appreciate detailed information about the TIC, in initiation. However, though it was a bit simplified, it gave me an excellent picture of how the whole thing works!! All in all, great overview, could use a few more details.

When I leave my A&P class and have questions, you are one of my go-to-guys! Your videos are simple explanations packed with information, yet slow enough they are easy to follow. And you don't sound like some old guy that is talking just to hear his own voice. This is the first video of yours that uses more than red and black ink... and I'm not sure I like that (lol). It was a little strange. But thank you Armando! I do no believe I would be making A's in my biology classes if it was not for you.
